🇺🇸 Patriot Day – Friday, September 11 🇺🇸

This Friday, we remember and honor the lives lost, the heroes, and the courage and unity shown on September 11, 2001. ❤️🤍💙

We invite all students, teachers, and staff to wear red, white, and blue in observance of Patriot Day. Jeans may also be worn by those participating in the red, white, and blue spirit! 👖🇺🇸

🎪 Book Blast begins today! Each student will be taking home their Treasure Map today with more information.
All you have to do is invite 10+ friends and family members to earn some awesome prizes and a chance to win one of our Treasure Chests. It takes just 7 minutes TONIGHT: https://app.booksarefun.com/LeonDaichesES78040 .

​The first 96 to register and invite 10+ friends and family members will receive their treasure map prizes the very next day! Any student who qualifies after that will still receive their prizes with the book delivery.

🎗️ LISD Honors Our Little Heroes🎗️ In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, LISD honorably celebrates the incredible strength, courage, and spirit of our students who have faced childhood cancer.

Meet Daniella “Nanis” Ovando, a 3rd-grade student at Leon Daiches Elementary.

⚽ Nanis loves playing soccer and proudly wears #5! As a defender, she’s a fierce competitor who isn’t afraid of a challenge. Her strength reaches far beyond the soccer field — she is a childhood cancer survivor and a beautiful reminder that our little heroes can grow up to do BIG things.
