Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT)

The Dyslexia Center of South Texas, in partnership with Celebrate Dyslexia (San Antonio, TX), is now enrolling for our 2026 online CALT cohort beginning July 13–29, 2026.

This training is designed for educators and professionals seeking advanced, evidence-based preparation in dyslexia therapy, including:

✔️ In-depth Structured Literacy instruction
✔️ Training in Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia and related reading difficulties
✔️ Supervised, real-world practicum experience
✔️ Preparation toward CALT competency and certification

We’re excited to share that The Dyslexia Center of South Texas is now an approved service provider for the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program.

This means that eligible families may be able to use state-funded education dollars toward approved services, including specialized instruction and therapy outside of the school setting.

✨ What this means for families:
    •    More educational options
    •    Greater flexibility in how support is provided
    •    Access to individualized services when available

    •    Eligibility and funding are determined by the state
    •    Approval is not guaranteed
    •    Funding availability may vary
    •    Families should consult their school district regarding school-based services

Our role as an approved provider is to deliver high-quality services once families are approved. We are happy to share general information and direct families to official resources.
