Dear Tiger Families,

Gifted and Talented (GT) Student Nominations are now open!

This nomination window is for scholars who are new to the Harmony district and were not enrolled at Harmony during the previous school year. Nominations for returning Harmony scholars will open during the spring semester.

📚 Testing for qualifying scholars: October

Submitting a nomination gives your child the opportunity to be evaluated but does not guarantee placement in the GT program. Paper copies are also available in the front office.

🐯✨ Our first Tigers were “Caught Being Awesome!” ✨🐯
Through our new Caught You Being Awesome initiative, teachers give special coupons to students who demonstrate kindness, positive behavior, and our Tiger core values: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Self-Discipline, and Empathy!
After receiving a coupon, students visit Mrs. Reyes to have their picture taken. Their photo is then proudly displayed on our Kindness Bulletin Board, where we celebrate all the amazing Tigers who lead by example! 📸🐾
Great job, Tigers! Keep showing your Tiger PRIDE—you never know when you might be caught being awesome! ❤️🌟

🔴🔵 Celebrating Grandparents Day at HSI-Laredo! 🔵🔴

Our HSI-Laredo Tigers had a wonderful time celebrating the grandparents and special family members who play such an important role in their lives.🫶🏼🌟

Thank you to all of our grandparents who joined us and helped make the day extra special for our students. Your love, support, and encouragement mean so much to our Tiger families!

We are so excited to announce that our Share-A-Bear Donation Drive is officially set up in our school lobby and ready to receive donations! 🐻🎉

Our Future Teachers of America (FTA) students, sponsored by Mrs. Sallia M. Salinas, are proud to lead this special community service project. We are collecting BRAND-NEW teddy bears with tags to help bring comfort, hope, and a little happiness to children who have experienced traumatic events as a result of crime and/or natural disasters. ❤️

We are excited to launch our Positive Behavior Academies, where every Tiger can learn, lead, and shine!

Throughout the year, our academies will compete monthly for the coveted Spirit Stick by demonstrating:

📖 Love of Literacy participation
🏫 Good attendance
⭐ Engagement in selected activities
