Dear Fellow Classmates of '87!
As your Class of '87 reps for the Nixon Tailgate 2019 Sergio De Los Santos, Lisa Delagarza and I, Laura Gabrillo Botello we would like to thank each and everyone who helped us make the 2019 tailgate successful. To Jose Luis Castillo, Marissa Garza, Claudia Flores Cabello and Luis Sanchez for being generous in helping us purchase the meat; To Chito who cooked the meat and Chino who cooked a delicious treat of tripas and mollejas....you guys out did yourselves!!! The meat was delicious and the tripas were a hit!!! To Anna Pena for bringing her delicious rice and Diana Briones bringing her pico de gallo....We couldn't have done it without you all!!! To all classmates, who were able to join us, especially to those who came from out of town, in spite of the HOT day..we all still had a blast!!!. Without you all joining us this would not be possible. THANK YOU CLASSMATES!!!
On a different note..this was my last year as your Class Rep. I have truly enjoyed representing our class for the last three years. Hopefully a new classmate would step up to be our new class rep. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS.

Good Afternoon Fellow Classmates of '87!!! I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving surrounded by all your friends and family!!! Well tomorrow is our Nixon Tailgate/Reunion of Mustangs starting at 10am until 11pm at L & F Distributors. Hope many of you all can join us. DON'T FORGET TO WEAR OUR SCHOOL COLORS!!! ATTN: ALL NIXON CLASS OF '87 ALUMNI!!!

WE ARE ONE WEEK AWAY FROM OUR TAILGATE/REUNION OF MUSTANGS!!!💚💛

The NIXON TAILGATE will take place next Saturday, November 30th (Thanksgiving weekend).

•It's BYOB - strictly L & F products ONLY- photo of approved alcoholic beverages shown below. No hard liquor, no wine, no gummy bears or jello shots will be allowed. Definitely NO GLASS will be allowed. The tailgate will be held at L & F Distributors (BUDWEISER), 410 Crossroads.

•There will be plenty of parking across from L&F Distributors. Security will be available in parking lot.

•The tailgate will start at 10 am and end at 11 pm.

•L & F will be having games such a football throw, Jenga and several others.

• BUDWEISER girls will be on-site to take photos.

•L & F will provide an area with tables and bar stools for people to sit and enjoy the music.

•Committee has rented the huge tent that we do every year in case it's hot or it rains. No EXCUSES not to attend. Rain or shine we'll be there.

•Dumpers, porta potties and hand washes have been acquired by tailgate committee.

•NO ONE UNDER 21 WILL BE ALLOWED - NO EXCEPTIONS. PD will be checking ID's. Everyone must provide an official ID and sign a waiver at entrance.

•Pre-sale bracelets will be $5.00 or $10 at the gate. I will provide you with a PayPal link to pay for ur bracelets and cleaning fee. Bracelets will need to be picked up at L&F Distributors on Friday, November 29th during set up time 9pm - 12 am. If you are assigning someone to pick up your bracelets, please make a note while paying through PayPal or we will not release them.

•All Ice chests will be checked by PD at entrance so please do not bring GLASS OR UNAPPROVED LIQUOR BEVERAGES. No glass salsas, olives, beer etc... NO GLASS.

•Security will be provided by Laredo Police Department.

•DJ Raul "Rule" Garcia will be providing the music starting at 10am
- 11pm. No other music will be allowed during this time.

•L & F will be giving away a large ice chest for the best decorated canopy so let's decorate away.

•Chilo Alanis will be providing 2 Taxi cabs in case someone is unable to drive home. PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY.

Dear Fellow Classmates of '87!!!

This year's Tailgate/Reunion of Mustangs will be in Saturday, Nov 30th from 10am to 11pm at L & F Distributors (next to the Harley Davidson Store). Class of '87 will be participating.

We are seeking our classmates help with monetary donations to help us purchase the meat, paper goods, firewood, water, sodas etc for that day. If you are able to help us out, Lisa, Sergio and I will be at the TP on Saunders on Sunday at 4pm so you can drop off your donation. Any amount is welcome!!

Also, you will need to purchase a bracelet to go to the tailgate. They are $5 presale or $10 at the door. To purchase, please see the PayPal link on the Nixon Tailgate 2019 FB page.

Keep in mind since the Tailgate will be at L & F ONLY BUDWEISER PRODUCTS WILL BE ALLOWED!!! ICE CHESTS WILL BE CHECKED AT THE DOOR OR ANY TIME SECURITY WANTS TO CHECK THEM!!!

NO CHILDREN UNDER 21 WILL BE ALLOWED!!

Fellow Mustangs alumni’s just a friendly last minute reminder that we are meeting at 7pm with the class reps to collect the clean up fees for the classes and also we will be selling the bracelets. Stop by the L&F Distributors on loop 20 across from Doctors Hospital.

Hello Class of “87!! L & F Distributors of Laredo will be having a Budlight Super Alumni Tailgate Bowl on Saturday, February 2nd from 10 am – 5pm with ALL of the LISD and UISD high schools.

Nixon will be participating and will have a canopy where all Alumni will come together. Class of ’83 and ’89 have volunteered in helping with the decorating of the Nixon canopy but more help is welcome. Class of ’87 will be making a donation to the Nixon committee to help with the purchase of food and items needed for Nixon alumni. There will be some beer provided (Budweiser products only allowed). No one under 21 will be allowed to enter. If you do plan to attend, please wear either one of our NIXON class shirts or NIXON school colors. We will like to show NIXON is being represented. Rules will apply just like our own tailgate. More information to come as it is provided to the class reps. For now we need to know how many Nixon alumni are planning in attending. Please let Sergio de los Santos, Lisa de la Garza or I, Laura Gabrillo Botello know if you are planning to attend so Committee can plan accordingly for food. Hope some of our ’87 classmates can attend.

To Maurelio Rodriguez for once again lending us the BBQ grill/trailer; To Jose Luis Castillo and Marissa Garza for always being generous in helping us purchase the meat; To Chino and Ramon Rodriguez who helped us with the cooking of the meat, you guys out did yourselves!!! The meat was delicious; To Yvonne Vela Leal for bringing her delicious beans and her savory rice and to her husband on the lena donation; To Socrates Garza, who not only helped with the cooking of the meat as well, but was there early to help us set up the tents and start the fire!!! We couldn't have done it without you!!! To all classmates, who were generous in making a monetary donation or kind in helping us by bringing the items needed you all know who you are; and of course to all the classmates that joined us, especially to those who came from out of town, in spite of the HOT day..we all still had a blast!!!.
