TAMIU offices will close in a State-authorized holiday starting Monday, Dec. 22, 2025 - Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.

The Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, Rec Center and City of Laredo Tennis Complex at TAMIU will also remain closed through the holiday break.

University offices reopen Monday, Jan. 5 at 8 a.m.

As part of a Texas A&M University System-authorized observance of Thanksgiving, TAMIU offices will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 26 at noon through Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.

The Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, Rec Center and City of Laredo Tennis Complex at TAMIU will also close Wednesday, Nov. 26 at noon and remain closed through the weekend.

Offices will reopen and classes resume Monday, Dec. 1, 2025.

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents today voted to name Dr. Christopher Maynard as the sole finalist for the position of president of Texas A&M International University in Laredo.

Maynard said he is ready to get to work.

“I am deeply honored to join TAMIU’s faculty, staff, and community partners in our shared commitment to further student success,” Maynard said. “The education provided by TAMIU has the power to transform the lives of students, their families, and the entire region, and I look forward to working collaboratively with our campus and community partners as we embrace opportunities and move forward together.”

Meet Derrick Crooks, a TAMIU Staff Senate Book Scholarship recipient from the Texas A&M International University Office of Career Services!

Derrick is a first-generation student finishing his final semesters toward his bachelor’s degree, set to graduate in December 2025. He was also part of the 2024–2025 TAMIU Leadership Experience program and plans to pursue a master’s degree next!
