From Dr. Bishop:
16 years ago I interviewed at Laredo College, yes on Labor Day, and last Sunday I finished moving out. Surprisingly they filled my position, but with a non guitarist from a different search. I’m teaching at A&M - San Antonio and am the new personnel manager of the SA Philharmonic, more importantly I am living with my wife and not driving back and forth anymore. I’d like to thank all of the innumerable people who were part of my life and career in Laredo, and I can at least say that if LC isn’t better than when I arrived it was not as bad as it would have been without me. If someone would like to take over this page let me know.

Starting next Tuesday and running through Saturday is FlamencoFest at Laredo College. The concerts are easily found on the website, but I wanted to point out that there are workshops in flamenco singing and guitar playing by Vicente Griego (11:15 - 12:15) and Mario Febres (10:00 - 11:00) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and many on dancing as well.
