Exciting Opportunity for Our Oil & Gas Students at Lyndon B Johnson High School!

Students in Mr. Gil Benavides’ Oil and Gas Production Program of Study recently interviewed for paid summer internships with Lewis Energy Group. This 10-week program gives students hands-on experience through rotations in Production and Pipeline departments.

The internship offers more than just summer employment—it builds technical and soft skills, connects students with industry mentors, and opens doors to future careers right here in our community.

Today, alongside our incredible partner Laredo College, we proudly celebrate the accomplishments of our students through two special ceremonies taking place this morning and afternoon.

⭐ 83 students earning Level 1 Certifications in high-demand fields including HVAC, Diesel Technology, Logistics, EMT, and Cybersecurity

These accomplishments represent years of dedication, perseverance, and support from an entire community working together to create opportunities for student success.
