Raul Perales Middle School

Congratulations to our Raul Perales Middle School's Mighty Oiler Band as they continue to make history as the Honor Winds earned 2nd Place at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 14 Honor Band Hearing, securing advancement to the Area G Honor Band Hearing.

This achievement marks the third time in the school's eight-year history that the Raul Perales Honor Winds have advanced beyond the regional level, highlighting the dedication, talent, and commitment of the students, directors, and families who make up the Raul Perales community.

The Raul Perales Honor Winds will now compete at the Area G Honor Band Hearing, where they will perform against some of the top middle school bands in South Texas for an opportunity to advance to the State Honor Band level.

🏗️🎉 A huge congratulations to our Oilers, GEAR UP Class of 2030 students who participated in the Texas A&M Construction Summer Camp! 🎉🏗️

During this incredible experience, students explored the world of construction through hands-on activities and real-world learning opportunities. They learned how to read blueprints, gained knowledge of construction techniques and safety practices, strengthened their leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, and explored exciting career pathways in the construction and STEM industries.

One of the highlights of the camp was the opportunity to visit and observe active construction sites, where students saw firsthand how projects are planned, managed, and brought to life.

We are so proud of our students for stepping outside their comfort zones, embracing new challenges, and representing our GEAR UP cohort with enthusiasm and professionalism. ⚙️❤️

To top off their accomplishment, each student received a Certificate of Completion in recognition of their hard work and dedication throughout the program. 👏📜

The future looks bright for these amazing students, and we can’t wait to see all they will achieve!

Attention Incoming 6th Graders,

We will be hosting an Instrument Tryout Night tomorrow and Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:30 PM in the RPMS Gym. I made a mistake with the flyer, for Wednesday will also be from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. You will have a chance to try out all of the instruments that we have to offer. Any student who shows up will secure their spot in the instrument that they choose. We hope to see you there!
