Today we celebrated our last Friday with this incredible freshman class—and what a day it was. Field Day was filled with laughter, water slides, games, and a few bittersweet tears as we watched these students, now young men and women, take one step closer to their future.

With STAAR scores in, we can proudly say—this class delivered. Their hard work, growth, and resilience showed up in every way. We’re beyond proud of each and every one of you.

Next stop: Main Campus and 10th grade. Go South and keep making us proud, Panthers!

Big Panther Shout-Out!
Congratulations to Abigail Alvarez and Isela Sequeda, two outstanding USHS 9th graders, for being selected as recipients of the Hank and Elizabeth Sames Scholars Program 2025!

They’ve each earned a $16,000 scholarship that includes:
• A 3-year mentorship program at Texas A&M International University
• A 4-year scholarship of $4,000 per year toward tuition and fees

We are incredibly proud of you both for representing USHS 9th Grade with excellence!
Keep shining bright—this is just the beginning!

Yesterday we celebrated our students with perfect attendance!
We recognized our finalists for the SAMES car giveaway and handed out tons of awesome prizes! A huge thank you to our amazing Ms. Montoya for organizing this event and to Coach Ojeda for leading the incentive.
