We are aware that the United South area is currently experiencing low water pressure. According to the City of Laredo, water pressure should be restored within the hour as crews complete the project they worked on overnight.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month. In order to raise awareness of the 988 Lifeline and promote mental health support the USHS Counseling department conducted the “988 Reasons: Your reason is enough” event. This activity took place during both lunches, students had an opportunity to highlight the many reasons people may need support, such as a difficult moment, a mental health challenge, or a concern for someone else. No reason is too big or too small to seek help.

Our counseling department aims to remind everyone that you are not alone. Anyone can call, text, or chat 988 anytime, 24/7. They will be connected to a skilled, caring and nonjudgmental crisis counselor, who is trained to listen, de-escalate and support.
