Join us for our first-ever FREE virtual screening of the award-winning documentary Counted Out followed by a live conversation.

Headsets equipped with WAVE Drowning Detection Technology aim to make drowning more preventable 07/21/2026

🎥Co-Op Summer Enrichment’s swim program was featured on News 12 Westchester!

During their visit, News12 filmed our Co-Op campers swimming with WAVE Headsets equipped with WAVE Drowning Detection Technology. At Co-Op, nearly 90% of our students come from low-income families, with 84% arriving not knowing how to swim. Innovations like WAVE headsets help kids feel more confident in the water and add an extra layer of safety alongside our amazing swimming instructors and lifeguards.

Thank you to everyone who joined CONVERGE ‘26 at Sarah Lawrence College!

This year’s conference, Tech for Good: Powering Regional Readiness, focused on bringing together leaders from across education, government, and industry to discuss how emerging technologies like quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced information systems are shaping the future in Westchester, New York State, and beyond.

“We can take kids from math-curious to quantum-literate, and that is our responsibility,” said Margaret Käufer, President and Chief Visionary Officer at The STEM Alliance in the From Classroom to Career: Building the Regional Quantum-Literate Workforce panel discussion. This panel was alongside Deborah Schondorf Novick, CFA, Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Westchester County; Angela Kelly, Professor of Physics and STEM Education at Stony Brook University ; Li-Chiou Chen, Interim Dean and Professor at the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Pace University ; and Sharon Sputz, Associate Vice President, Office of Research Initiatives and Development at Columbia University .

We’re excited to continue to spread the word about quantum sciences and look at ways we can make these emerging technologies accessible to everyone!

60 years. One incredible community. 💙

Yesterday, we celebrated the 60th summer of Co-Op Summer Enrichment beneath the Westchester County Center Jumbotron alongside the staff, families, and friends who have made Co-Op so special over the years.

Seeing so many familiar faces come together was a reminder that Co-Op is more than a summer program. It's a community that has impacted generations of Mamaroneck students and families.

A special thank you to Legislator Anant Nambiar and Westchester County for helping us celebrate this milestone.
