Summary

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Developmental Preschool and Day Care Center. In this role, you will work with children from birth to age five, providing speech therapy and developmental support to enhance their communication skills and overall growth. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping children reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to evaluate children's speech and language abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
Provide direct speech therapy services in one-on-one or group settings.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support children's development.
Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate families on strategies to reinforce speech and language development at home.
Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments, and progress reports.
Requirements

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current Wyoming state licensure (or ability to obtain) as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders.
Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in early intervention settings is preferred.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families and team members.

Pediatric Occupational Therapist : School Year Schedule
Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference in young children’s lives? Join the staff at Developmental Preschool & Day Care Center. This is a great opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled OTs in a variety of settings including educational, clinical and virtual settings. We are currently seeking two part-time or one full-time Occupational Therapist to provide therapy, evaluations and planning for children. Position may include some travel (day trips) as well as teletherapy services and daily clinic sessions.

Our organization provides early intervention and special education services for children birth to 5 years old and outpatient pediatric therapy clinic services to children up to 18 years old. Position is a school year based position with option for additional hours and pay! Salary listed for 1295 hours per year.

INTRODUCTION:

To provide a comprehensive occupational therapy program to children with disabilities and other medical needs from birth to age 18.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct screenings of motor development as requested in order to identity the need for further evaluation.

2. Conduct formal and informal evaluations including standardized tests and clinical observation and compile results into a multidisciplinary report.

3. Participate in the development and review of the IEP/IFSP for identified children including writing annual goals and short-term objectives.

4. Provide individual and small group therapy in accordance with the IEP/IFSP.

5. Provide occupational therapy services in inclusive preschool classrooms and/or other settings.

6. Provide consultation and training to teachers, other therapists and support staff regarding therapeutic procedures and techniques, positioning and feeding programs, adaptive equipment, and other activities needed to achieve IEP/IFSP goals and objectives.

7. Assist parents and other caregivers through consultation or home programming in understanding the child’s needs, occupational therapy services, and how to assist the child in the home setting.

8. Collect and report data and other information about the child’s progress.

9. Supervise the delivery of services by paraprofessional staff members, practicum students and volunteers, as needed.

10. Assist in the transition of children from the program into the public schools.

11. Other duties as assigned relating to the effective delivery of services to children with disabilities and their families.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in occupational therapy with AOTA registration. Licensure by State of Wyoming is required. Pediatric interest required, school based therapy experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to operate equipment and machinery that requires fine and gross motor abilities, compose sentences, calculate figures, interpret rules and procedures, organize and convey thoughts, recall facts and procedures, and form sequential thoughts. Must have spatial perceptions, auditory and tactile disaffirmation, speaking ability, judgment, aesthetic sense, olfactory discrimination, writing ability, reasoning, patience, visual discrimination, talking, hearing, grasping, grabbing, holding, feeling abilities, must be able to give instructions, must be able to work independently and must be in good health and physical condition. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to fifty pounds, and be agile in bending, walking, and other positions necessary for the care of children.
