The WEST Institute An accredited 1-Year seminary in Laramie, WY. Students earn a Masters Degree, visit Israel, enjoy outdoor adventures, and live in authentic community.

The WEST Institute, located in Laramie WY, was formed in 2010 to provide Biblical Training and life changing community to students in a one-year program. Shepherds Theological Seminary has a teaching site for the students in Laramie and offers a fully accredited Master of Arts in Church Ministry. Students participate in community activities and outdoor adventures designed to help them apply what they learn to their lives. The academic year runs from August - August each year. At the West Institute rafting trip we learn so much about God through His creation and word. Each student is affected differently and each growing in what God wants them to learn about himself.

So we we are out in the marvelous crater canyon pass, we can experience that God is our rock and our refugee. “A very present help in trouble” (psalm 46:1).

But we can’t experience that behind a phone or the computer. We were made to get out and hear the shouts of creation for ourselves.

We often times look at Adam and Eve as foolish yet we fall into the same lies and misbeliefs as they did. Christ does not desire to simply satisfy the desires of our flesh, He died that our entire lives, including our desires, would be changed to His glory.
