Laramie Middle School

Laramie Middle School Laramie Middle School serves students from ACSD #1 in grades 6-8. LMS serves approximately 780 students in grades 6-8. Our mission is Scouting Success Together.

We strive to create an environment where students feel safe and valued so that all students can achieve the high levels of learning required to be successful. We recognize that middle school age students are undergoing greater physiological, psychological and social changes than at any other period in their lives. Therefore, we strive to meet our students’ learning needs by providing a supportive environment where students engage in developmentally appropriate curriculum and instructional activities, develop healthy relationships, and seek opportunities in a variety of learning experiences in the classroom and beyond. Due to the recent tragedy in our community, members of our mental health team will be available Friday from 8:00-12:00 and again on Monday from 8:00-2:30 for students and staff in need of support. Please enter through the front doors by the flagpole.

Thank you for supporting one another, our students, and families during this difficult time. We are saddened by the loss to our community and will make every effort to help those in need.

It's with a mixture of excitement and sadness that I share the news that I have accepted the ACSD1 Human Resources Director position. Working at Laramie Middle School has been the highlight of my professional life. I'm excited for the new opportunities and challenges that my new position will bring, but I will greatly miss Laramie Middle School students, families, and staff. I'm pleased to also share that Mrs. Kimberly Burkhart has been name as the new LMS principal. Mrs. Burkhart is an amazing administrator and will do a fantastic job. I will always treasure my time at LMS. Once a Scout, always a Scout!
