This is a reminder that the spring semester NSLS induction will be held tomorrow night from 5-7pm. This is an optional event meant to be an opportunity to celebrate competing your steps to become an inducted member of the NSLS. Please RSVP if you are planning on attending.

Note: if you cannot make tomorrow’s induction and would still like to attend an induction ceremony, the national NSLS office is offering an online option on June 9th. The deadline to RSVP is May 29th.

Hello members! Are you looking for an easy volunteer opportunity? Do you want to help clean up Laramie? Well here’s the perfect opportunity for you! Our chapter is hosting a Laramie Green-Belt clean-up day on April 26th from 1-4pm. Plan to meet up at Optimist Park and we will go from there! Chapter leaders will bring trash bags and gloves. We hope to see you there!

This is a friendly reminder that we will be hosting a SUPER SATURDAY session on April 12th from 10am to 2pm. We will be offering an opportunity to attend Orientation, Leadership Training Day, and a Speaker ReBroadcast for completing SNT reports! There are a lot of people who are so close to reaching the completion of their Induction steps, and we want to help you get there! Please RSVP and let us know how best to assist you.

Welcome back chapter members! We hope your spring break was restful. If you’re having trouble with filling out your Success Networking Team (SNT) forms or are confused in any way about the process, never fear! SNT office hours are here! See what I did there..? Swipe LEFT to see a culmination of dates you can attend office hours. Locations and chapter leaders for each day and time are listed on the NSLS calendar, accessible via the NSLS app or nsls.org.

SNT Office Hours are designed as a space for you to meet with a chapter leader and receive assistance with your SNT reports which you will submit once the meeting has concluded. Each meeting should not take the entire time, however the leaders facilitating SNT Office Hours are available for that time.

Feel free to reach out to our chapter leaders if you have any further questions, even if they’re not SNT focused! Have a great week, and go Pokes! 🤎💛

Scholarship season is here!

Start applying for the Spring 2025 Scholarships & Awards today. The NSLS Foundation will distribute nearly 300 scholarships worth $400,000 this year.

Please note: We have changed our scholarships and awards this year. These changes include updates to our essay requirements, the number of events required for eligibility, and the ability to use outside events to meet those requirements.

We recommend you carefully review each scholarship criterion for updated eligibility and scholarship essay/application requirements.

Here's how to apply:
1. Visit Scholarsapp.com and create a free account.
2. Log in and search "NSLS" to find all the NSLS scholarships.
3. Apply to as many NSLS scholarships as you'd like.

The deadline to apply is Friday, March 21, 2025. No late applications will be accepted. All winners will be announced on May 12, 2025.

Through her work, Dr. Ennis has gained a unique perspective on understanding why people sometimes have varied and different levels of healthcare experiences across a range of reasons, and she has realized that bias often plays a role.
