You are blessed!

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield. (Ps. 5:12)

If you are born again, you have been made the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21). From the gift of righteousness flows God’s favor and blessing. His blessing is upon His people (Ps. 3:8).

What should this mean? It means you should expect good things, favor, health, joy, peace, and abundance. Yes, persecution exists in this fallen world. It has always existed against the God’s people, but that hasn’t stopped God from promising His favor and blessing in the midst of darkness and corruption.

The presence of God in your home should bring blessing.

The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had. (1 Chronicles 13:14)

If the ark of God brought blessing before the cross, how much more the presence of God since the new and better covenant? There should be peace in your home. There should be joy and love. Your marriage should be blessed. Your children should be blessed. You have God’s blessing, but do you believe it and expect it?

The presence of God within you should bring blessing!

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” (John 14:23)

If we truly valued God’s blessing and favor, we would spend less time on worthless pursuits and activities. A moment of favor can do more to change your life than a lifetime of effort. The blessing of God attracts good things.

For too long, Christians have been taught to give up on the blessings of God, and “just hang in there” until Jesus comes back. Many are being led as sheep to the slaughter because they feel it is somehow wrong to be blessed. Many don’t understand that a blessed life glorifies God!

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13)

Choose to believe in His favor and blessing on your life. It’s a gift. Believe it and receive it.Barry Bennet
