The Indiana State Fair continues this week! 🎡🐄🍀 If you're heading down to cheer on our LaPorte County exhibitors, don't forget that the State Fair is closed on Mondays.

🚨 DON'T FORGET! State Fair Garden, Herb & Food Projects 🚨
🌱🥕🍎 These projects must be turned into the Purdue Extension Office by 8:15 AM on Monday, August 11.

Be sure to have your projects ready and turned in on time!

4-H’ers planning to exhibit Foods, Herbs, or Garden projects at the Indiana State Fair — don’t forget to let us know what you are bringing!

🗓️ Declaration Deadline: Thursday, August 6, 2026

Please contact the Purdue Extension LaPorte County Office by this date to declare your Foods, Herbs, and/or Garden project(s) that will be going to the State Fair.

This helps us prepare for a smooth drop-off and ensure everything is ready for delivery! 🚚✨

Please contact the Purdue Extension LaPorte County Office to declare that your Foods, Herbs, and/or Garden project(s) will be going to State Fair.

📦 Monday, August 10
🕗 Projects are due to the Extension Office by 8:15 AM.

🎡 The Indiana State Fair Opens Friday, August 7!

The fair runs August 7–23 and is closed on Mondays.

From livestock shows and 4-H exhibits to concerts, food, and family fun, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

Do you have extra fresh sweet corn from your garden or 4-H project?

Help us Stock the Trailer for Operation Feed LaPorte County! Your donation of fresh sweet corn will help provide nutritious food to local families while earning points for LaPorte County in this year's statewide Stock the Trailer competition.

Whether it's a few dozen ears or several bags, every donation makes a difference!

Donation Options:🌽 Drop off at the Purdue Extension Office.🚗 Fair Board members are also available as neighborhood drop-off locations, and many can accept donations the day before or over the weekend.

Whether it's tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, green beans, zucchini, sweet corn, or other fresh fruits and vegetables, your donation will help provide healthy food to local families while earning points for LaPorte County in the statewide challenge.
