Special delivery at SCES today! 📦✨
Two of our awesome students stopped by the elementary office to drop off a delivery to Mrs. Kinner.
We love seeing our students stepping up, taking on helpful roles, and keeping things running smoothly around the school with big smiles.

Building bridges (and towers!) to start the new school year! 🍝✨

Our 5th and 6th graders kicked off the year with some back-to-school STEM activities, which included the Spaghetti & Marshmallow Challenge. The goal was simple: design and build the tallest free-standing tower in small groups. The actual result? Endless laughter, incredible team building, and some genuinely amazing engineering discussions.

Watching them test their ideas, bounce back from a few structural collapses, and cheer each other on completely made my day. So proud of these young problem-solvers and the way they worked together today! 💡🏗️

Thanks to Mrs. Jennifer Wettlaufer for such an engaging and fun learning experience.

Free Breakfast & Lunch for Our Students! 🍎🥛

Just a reminder that free breakfast and lunch continue to be provided to all students at Sullivan County SD at this time.

Students may also have money added to their meal accounts for any à la carte options available for purchase.

We’re proud to continue providing nutritious meals to our students each school day!

You can now electronically add money to your student’s lunch account for convenient, cash-free payments.

A step-by-step guide is attached to help you get started. This is an easy way to make sure your student has funds available for a la carte options throughout the school year.

Less cash to carry, more convenience for families! 🍎💻

**please note, your student’s lunch ID will be necessary to register online.

**Checks and cash will also still be accepted.

📱 High School Cell Phone Update | 2026–2027

As we prepare for Pennsylvania’s statewide cell phone requirements taking effect in 2027–2028, we are introducing updated high school expectations this year to help students build consistent habits and make the transition smoother.

Students may have their phones:

Before the first bell
During lunch
After the last bell

At all other times, phones should be stored in students’ lockers. Locker locks will be provided to all high school students. Exceptions for documented medical or health-related needs will apply, consistent with district policy and approved by the building administration as appropriate.

We will use a consistent, schoolwide process for addressing violations, with offenses tracked per student rather than by individual class.

Our goal is to create a focused learning environment while giving students, families, and staff time to adjust to the expectations coming statewide. Thank you for your partnership and support as we work together to set our students up for success!
