🌲 What if school looked a little more like childhood?

More time outside. More room to move, wonder, build, create, take healthy risks, ask questions, get muddy, solve problems, and discover just how capable they are.

At Pinewood Trails Forest School, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens when children are given the time and space to experience the world around them, not just learn about it.

Forest school offers children of all ages opportunities to build confidence, independence, resilience, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a meaningful connection with nature. But one of our favorite parts of what we do is something a little harder to measure: community. 🫶🏼

Our children aren’t simply placed in a class together. They become part of a community where different ages learn alongside one another, friendships grow through shared experiences, and children are encouraged to contribute, collaborate, help one another, and truly belong.

And as we prepare to begin our third year at Pinewood Trails, we’re excited to share that we still have a limited number of enrollment opportunities available! 🌿

Pinewood Trails is a licensed and insured forest school program offering families a unique, nature-based approach to learning and childhood. The countdown is on, and we are getting SO excited to welcome our Explorers back to the trails!🍂

Our backpacks are an important part of every Forest School adventure! They travel with us throughout camp each day, giving Explorers easy access to their water, meals, and extra clothing whenever they need them. Being prepared helps children stay comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy every adventure nature brings. 🌲☔️❄️

Big accomplishment for our Pinewood Trails team! 🎉

Our staff recently completed Responding to Emergencies training through the American Red Cross. From first aid to emergency preparedness, they've strenghthened their skills to help keep our explorers safe while they learn, play, and grow outdoors.

Our staff is also trained in:
Infant, Child & Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED ✅
Bloodborne Pathogens ✅
Anaphalaxis and Eprinephrine Auto-Injector ✅
Stop The Bleed ✅

Today we held our Celebration of Learning with our explorers and their families, and it was such a meaningful way to wrap up our season together.

We shared stories, celebrated growth, honored each child’s time spent outdoors, and enjoyed the simple joy of gathering together in nature. Watching families connect in the spaces where their children learn, explore, and thrive was incredibly special.

Thank you to every family who trusted us with your children, supported muddy boots and outdoor adventures, volunteered your time, donated supplies, and encouraged curiosity all year long. Your support makes this community what it is.
