YAY! Friday Shout-Outs have begun, and some of our students are already beginning their GED testing! 📚📝

We are kicking off this year with TWO GRADUATES already! 🎓🎓 Their determination, dedication, and hard work over the summer have paid off, and we couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments! ❤️ Congratulations to our graduates!

We also want to give a big WELCOME and CONGRATULATIONS to our new students who are taking the first step in their own journey! 👏📚 Starting something new takes courage, and we are so excited to support you along the way. We can’t wait to celebrate your successes with you! 💪✨

🎉 Classes are off to a great start at our Holt location! 📚💛

Our instructors John and Chris were excited to kick off the new school year last week in Holt at Caterpillar Corner! ✨

This class location offers free childcare during class time, making it easier for parents to focus on learning while their little ones are cared for nearby. 🧸❤️

We’re so grateful for our partnership with Caterpillar Corner and the opportunity to support parents as they work toward their goals!

We are so fortunate to have Daynan and her furry friend Walter on team Eaton RESA Adult Education! Thank you both for everything you do for our students 🐶❤️🎓🐾

🌟 Eaton RESA Exceptional Educators 🌟

Daynan Brown, Support Coordinator, Support Animal, Adult Ed, is an indispensable part of the Eaton RESA Adult Education program. As a Licensed Social Worker, she helps adult students navigate barriers including mental health resources, housing stability, childcare and everyday crises. She also facilitates group support sessions and helps students work through grief and other personal challenges, so they can stay focused on their goals.

Daynan visits classrooms across the program, including jail sites and recovery locations, bringing empathy, humor and a welcoming presence. Her support dog, Walter, also works directly with students to help ease test anxiety. Behind the scenes, Daynan has played an important role in building enrollment systems, onboarding new staff and managing program logistics during a period of growth.

Thank you, Daynan, for the care and support you provide to students and the Adult Education program!

Huge thank you to State Senator Sarah Anthony’s office for coordinating Official State of Michigan Special Tributes for all our Spring 2026 Eaton RESA Adult Education graduates. Alongside State Representative Angela Witwer, Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer, they continue to be amazing supporters of our program. Receiving these tributes reenforces to our grads the true greatness of what they have accomplished through self determination and will. ❤️🎓

We are getting ready for an exciting new school year! 🎉📚

Last week, our teachers returned for a two day Foundations of Math training, building their knowledge and sharpening strategies to support student learning in mathematics. ➕📐

On Thursday, our entire staff came together for a Professional Development Day, continuing to learn, collaborate, and prepare for a successful year ahead.

Then, on Friday, we officially began enrolling new students! 🎉 If you know someone who may be interested in joining our program, please encourage them to visit our website to learn more and begin the enrollment process.

We’re so proud of the time, energy, and dedication our staff are putting in to make sure we’re ready to welcome our students back! Here’s a look at some of the learning and teamwork from last week. 💙
