On April 9, 2025, Wayne State University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice students, faculty, and alumni convened in Lansing for the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners Advocacy Day. United under the banner, they advocated for full practice authority for Nurse Practitioners in Michigan. This event provides a vital platform for Nurse Practitioners and legislators to engage in discussions about pressing issues in public health, education, and legislation. It highlights the importance of workplace advocacy in reinforcing nurses’ dedication to their profession and their patients, a commitment that our students, faculty, and alumni proudly uphold.
