Calling all stakeholders, community members, parents, and students within our great Lansing School District!
Our application to serve on the 2023-24 Equity Advisory Committee is now open. We are a subcommittee of the Board of Education chaired by Board President Rachel Willis and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Dr. Sarah Odneal. We work closely with all stakeholders to center our community perspectives and needs in addressing recommendations made by our 2022 Lansing Systemic Equity Review while simultaneously addressing problems of practice brought to our attention by stakeholders within our community. Our priority is always to increase mindfulness and critically self-reflect to avoid being unresponsive to or oppressive toward our community's perspectives and needs. If interested, please fill out the 2023-24 Equity Advisory Committee Application by the close of business Friday, October 20th. Applications will be reviewed, and all members will be notified by October 27th via email.
