Impression 5 Science Center has Sensory Friendly Hours tomorrow, June 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.!!

We are so excited to offer two Sensory Friendly opportunities this month!

Explore your Science Center in a more relaxed environment with fewer crowds, sensory friendly tools, and a special pop-up activity where you can create your own constellation string art.

June’s Sensory Friendly Hours:

• Wednesday, June 10 - 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Sunday, June 14 - 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate the grand opening of our musical children's garden and get to know our new permanent director on Saturday, June 20! We’ll have short remarks and a ribbon cutting at 12:15pm. Enjoy refreshments, try out the instruments, and chat with our new director!

Club Create Lansing! is a FREE art group for adults with disabilities that meets monthly at Peckham located at 3510 Capital City Boulevard in Lansing. Want a way to beat the "heat?" Celebration Cinema has a Sensory Showtime of the "Masters of the Universe" at their location on 200 E. Edgewood Boulevard in Lansing on June 13 starting at 11:00 a.m. Below is a coupon good for everyone in your family/group to get $2.00 off per ticket. It's always a great idea to call the theater ahead of time, as days/times are subject to change!!

Does your loved one with Autism need some practice on their shopping skills? The Capital City Market located at 600 E. Michigan Avenue, Suite 100 in Lansing has their monthly Sensory Friendly Morning on June 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The store is not closed, but this time is typically less crowded. Our Treasurer's son Dominic used to struggle significantly at the grocery store. Once we broke down the grocery list down into categories and had Dominic cross off or check off, it reduced ALOT of the anxiety! We are partnering with the Bath Township Public Library and Nurture Yoga Studio to bring you a brand-new event - Summer Storytime Yoga in the Park! We will meet in June, July and August. The first Summer Storytime Yoga in the Park is June 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. THIS EVENT IS OFF-SITE! We are meeting at Wiswasser Park located at 6499 Park Lake Road in Bath. All ages and abilities are welcome. When registering, please register the TOTAL number of people in your family/group. Registration closes on June 12 at noon!

Summer Storytime Yoga in the Park Please join us for this new event!!

Our organization is a non-profit and we rely 100% on donations. The more donations we get, the more events we can sponsor! We are enrolled in the Kroger Community Rewards Program. It is a free program to join. You just need to visit: https://www.kroger.com/ Once logged into your Kroger account, please search for the Mid-Michigan Autism Association either by name or IC876 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a rewards card. We have just a handful of people registered and yesterday we received a check for $31.43!! Can you imagine if we got more people enrolled????
