MTSD Company This is the public page for the MTSD Company and studio dancers from Mark Taylor School of Dance

Mark Taylor School of Dance has been providing quality dance instruction and opportunities in the Lansing [Frandor] area since 2001. MTSD Company dancers are a select group of students, ages 8-18, invited to compete as representatives of Mark Taylor School of Dance. Selection is based on dance ability as well as the demonstration of hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm. In just their first three years competing, the ambitious MTSD Company dancers have received numerous awards and invitations to compete at the national level. Several of our dancers were less than 25% of 3,000 applicants invited to participate in a nationally recognized workshop for talented youth who exhibit self-confidence, maturity and healthiness.

UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE HIGH WINDS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON, WE HAVE CHOSEN TO RESCHEDULE TODAYS POTLUCK FOR TWO WEEKS FROM NOW, SATURDAY NOVEMBER 7TH FROM 2-6PM.
The good news is you can support the former MTSD dancers who are performing at the Lansing Mall with Happendance from 12-3pm this afternoon.
Thought maybe any of us that were around afterwards could hit the food court and visit for a little bit?

Please join the families from Mark Taylor School of Dance for a fall potluck on our urban farm!
Saturday, October 24th from 2-6pm
-Bring a dish to pass
-Please bring chairs if you have them
-Non alcoholic drinks will be provided, BYOB (reminder, this is a family event so please drink and behave responsibly!)
-there will be chicken bingo, yard Yahtzee, pumpkin bowling, and lots more fall fun!
-there will be a small fire and canopy for those who aren't fans of the chilly air
Although last years gathering was just Company dancers and families, this year we are inviting all Mark Taylor School of Dance families to join us. Please spread the word!

REMINDER PARENT MEETING TONIGHT 6:30-8 at Bigby Coffee 4756 Marsh Rd, Okemos, MI 48864.
All families from Mark Taylor School of Dance are invited! We will be discussing options for all of the kids, including recommendations and current options for studios and instructors, we will also be discussing fundraising for competitive dancers as well as expanding the team to younger ages. We can't wait to hear your thoughts and feedback! Dancers are welcome to join us.

DANCERS:
-doors will be open around 5:30
-act 1 should be ready to go on stage no later than 7pm
-act 2 should be ready no later than 7:30
-show starts at 7:30
-please remember that if your routine has not yet performed and you want to leave the dressing room, your costume should be covered with your warm ups.
There are no judges tonight, so just enjoy it, have fun, and don't forget to smilešŸ˜€
