On Saturday, November 7, the Royal Scot will become Falcon’s Market—filled with seasonal auction finds, one-of-a-kind classroom projects, teacher experiences, games, raffles, good food, and a little friendly competition.

Every family can help Falcon’s Market grow, and donating a gift card is an easy way to join in.

Choose a $25+ gift card from a favorite restaurant, shop or local business—or donate one for groceries, gas, entertainment or a family outing. These cards become thoughtful additions to auction baskets and prizes for our market games.

Planning to purchase one? Buy it through TRIP and earn tuition credit, too. Now that is a win-win!

🌻🍎 PTO Meeting Recap! 🍎🌻

We had a busy and super productive PTO meeting last night! 🎉 Here’s what’s growing in our school community:

👋 We welcomed a new executive member and our two teacher representatives for the year! We’re so glad to have you! 💙💛

📝 August meeting minutes were approved, and our treasurer is working on a projected budget for the year. 💰

🧺🍎 The auction is coming along beautifully! Our fearless auction chairs are working SO hard to make this the best one yet! They’re always looking for volunteers, sponsors, and donations, so come on down to the “market” and lend a hand! 🥕🍅😉

🌱 Reminder: Classroom project donations are due THIS FRIDAY! Let’s get those projects growing! 🌻📚

💻📚 We approved three teacher requests for classroom software and supplies. We love being able to support our teachers and students! ❤️

🍦🎉 Ice Cream Social is September 28th! Come join us for yummy ice cream, fun, and good old-fashioned socializing! 🍨😋

🏡💙 Our New Families Committee has been AMAZING this year, with their outreach to new families being the most successful initiative to date! 🎉👏

📱 We also got a social media update and are making plans to officially add the Social Media Committee to our bylaws! 📣

🥳 New chairs were appointed for Fun Day and Student Appreciation, and we can’t wait to see what fun they have in store for our students! 🎈❤️

🏫✨ And finally, our fantastic principal shared that school is off to a great start! Our kids are already learning, growing, and doing wonderful things. 🌱📖

🌻🧺 Our annual school auction is coming up, and this year we’re bringing the farmer’s market theme to auction night! 🍎🌽🎟️

Now is the time for our Falcon families to invite your friends and family to be part of this special event. The Friends & Family Form gives you a chance to invite loved ones to attend the auction and join us for a fun night of community and fundraising.

And if they can’t make it in person, they can still support our school by making a donation or purchasing raffle tickets! 💚

Calling all creative parents! Our World of Art parent volunteer meeting is Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the Art Room.

No art experience needed! 🖌️ We’ll share lesson ideas, show examples, meet other volunteers, and make plans for a fun year of bringing famous artists to life for our students.

🌽🍎 We made it through the first week of school! 🍎🌽

What a great week it has been getting back into the rhythm of school, seeing familiar faces, making new friends, and watching our students settle into another exciting year. We hope everyone had a wonderful first week!

And now that we’ve got the first week in the books, it’s time to plant a little excitement for one of our favorite events of the year... the auction! 🥕🌻

This year’s theme is Falcon's Market, and we’re ready to bring the fun! There will be plenty of ways to bid, win, and support our school community. Consider this just a taste of what’s to come! 🍓

Today, we revealed the teachers lounge glow up to our amazing teachers and staff. Our favorite part was their reaction, which made all of the hard work worth it! 😍

Last night, we held our first PTO meeting of the school year, and we have a lot to be excited about! 💙🦅

We had a great evening welcoming our new parent board members and getting everyone up to speed on all the wonderful things happening at school. Here are some highlights:

• 💰 Treasurer's Report: We are starting the year with a healthy reserve, putting us in a great position for the year ahead.

• 🐟 Salmon in the Classroom: Mr. Wilcox shared the exciting news that we were approved for the Salmon in the Classroom program from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources! Our students will be raising salmon this year, and we cannot wait to see what they learn from this experience.

• 🎓 8th Grade Graduation: We reviewed last year's graduation, which was very well attended and a wonderful celebration of our graduates.

• 🎉 Auction Update: Our auction team has been working hard all summer and is on track to put together an amazing auction. We are so grateful for all their work!

• ✨ Teacher's Lounge Glow Up: The teacher's lounge project is looking good! We love seeing this space come together for our incredible teachers and staff.

• 🏫 Open House: We made plans for Open House. PTO will be running the school store, hosting a table for new families, and setting up the Falcons backdrop for those all-important back-to-school pictures!

• 🍦 Ice Cream Social: We also received an update on the Ice Cream Social. More details will be coming soon!

• 📚 Teacher Stipends: We approved teacher stipends to help our teachers with the cost of classroom supplies.

• ❤️ Principal's Update: Our amazing principal shared lots of good news. Enrollment is up, the Majella Hall updates are going well, and Father Dwight is excited for the school year to begin!

It was a productive and exciting first meeting, and we are looking forward to a fantastic school year. Thank you to all of our PTO members, parent volunteers, teachers, staff, and school leadership who make our community so special. Here's to a great year, Falcons! 🦅💙❤️
