Sadly, we let you know that Monica Troendle Monserud (Class of 1965) has passed away. . .

Monica Monserud, 78, of Waterville, IA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, IA. A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 7th, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM Friday at the Waterville Community Center with a meal served throughout. A prayer service will follow at 5:30 PM with Pastor Bryan Robertson officiating. A private family graveside service will be at Waterville Cemetery. Martin-Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is handling arrangements.

Monica Mary Rose Monserud was born on September 24, 1947, to Joe and Alberta (Hammell) Troendle. She was the sixth of twelve children, growing up in a large, close-knit family, where she learned the importance of hard work, loyalty, resilience, and always looking out for one another. She attended country school before graduating from St. George High School in Lansing IA, carrying those small-town values with her throughout her life.

From an early age, Monica developed an incredible work ethic. She never believed any job was beneath her and approached every opportunity with determination and pride. Throughout the years, she worked in manufacturing, at Cabela's, and in the hospitality industry. Mostly, she managed and owned a neighborhood bar in Waterville for more than two decades. Monica poured her heart into making it a place where everyone felt welcome. She loved the excitement of a packed house, music playing through the speakers, laughter filling the room, and a steady stream of food leaving the kitchen. She especially enjoyed preparing homemade lunch specials for local farmers, hunters, and regular customers, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Her commitment to serving others extended beyond her business. Monica proudly volunteered as an EMT with the Waterville Rescue Squad for several years. If an emergency call came in, she never hesitated to answer. Friends and customers often laughed that she would simply tell someone to "watch the bar" before heading out on an ambulance call. Helping others wasn't something Monica did - it was simply who she was.

Family was the center of Monica's life. She was first married to Laverne Quanrude, and together they welcomed daughter Charlotte (Quanrude) Fish. Monica later married Charles "Chuck" Weipert, having two sons Robert Charles Weipert and Joseph Francis Weipert. On December 26, 1981, Monica married the love of her life David Monserud. Their marriage became a beautiful example of friendship, partnership, and unconditional love. Together, they shared 45 wonderful years filled with adventures, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Their blended family grew to include David's son Michael David Monserud and created a home where love was abundant and everyone was welcomed.

Monica and David shared countless adventures together. They loved traveling to NASCAR and stock car races, taking camping, fishing, and snowmobiling trips, and spending weekends with friends. Whether sitting around a campfire, casting a fishing line into a quiet lake, or cheering from the grandstands at a race, Monica treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

She also found joy in life's simpler pleasures. Monica enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting, playing cards, competing in pool and euchre leagues, and spending evenings surrounded by family and friends. She cherished the many "sisters' trips" she took with her sisters over the years, creating memories and laughter that remained close to her heart. Growing up with eleven siblings meant she was never short on stories, laughter, or lifelong friendships. Above all else, Monica loved being surrounded by family. Holiday gatherings became treasured traditions in her home. She delighted in cooking meals, hosting celebrations, and filling her house with children, grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater happiness than hearing the joyful sounds of family together under one roof. As her family continued to grow, so did her heart.

Anyone who knew Monica knew she possessed an unforgettable personality. She was honest to a fault and never hesitated to speak her mind. If she thought you needed to hear something, she would tell you, but it always came from a place of love. Her quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and playful teasing became legendary among family and friends. She loved telling her favorite "Ole and Lena" jokes and had an uncanny ability to make people laugh until their stomachs hurt. Her laughter was contagious and her smile could brighten even the darkest day.

During the last year of her life, as her health limited her ability to get out and about, Monica found comfort in spending quiet days at home with her beloved dog Maisey. Their companionship brought her peace and Maisey rarely left her side.

Monica leaves behind a family who adored her and will forever treasure the love she gave so freely. She is survived by her devoted husband Dave Monserud; her daughter Charlotte (Dave) Fish; her sons: Robert Charles (Gabby) Weipert, Joseph Francis Weipert, and Michael (Robin) Monserud; mother-in-law Pauline Monsreud; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters: John, Jerry, George, Joe, and Jim Troendle, Alice Clemments, Betsy Shew, Ann Delaney, Mary Ann Kelly, and Lucy Hilleshiem; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and extended family members whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Alberta Troendle, brother Victor Troendle, and her father and mother-in-law Odin and Margaret Monserud.

To know Monica was to know unconditional love, fierce loyalty, hard work, generosity, and laughter. She was the kind of person who never met a stranger, opened her heart and home to anyone in need, and made lifelong friends wherever she went. Her strength inspired others, her humor lifted spirits, and her love bound generations of family together.

Although her earthly journey has ended, the lessons she taught, the traditions she created, and the memories she leaves behind will continue to live on through everyone who loved her. Her legacy is found not only in the family she raised, but in every life she touched through her kindness, compassion, and unmistakable spirit.

Monica will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who were blessed to call her wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and simply... Monica.

Jean, Cathy, and Peggy Livingston lost their big brother, Bob.

Robert L. Livingston, 86, of Harpers Ferry, IA, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, IA. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at St. Ann’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry with Fr. Joseph Sevcik officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Paint Rock Cemetery, Harpers Ferry. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 AM until the time of services on Saturday at the church. Martin-Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is handling arrangements.

Robert “Bob” Livingston was born November 9, 1939, in La Crosse, WI, the oldest child of Leo and Ruth (Ferring) Livingston of Harpers Ferry, IA. Bob began school at St. Joseph's one-room country school (located next to Paint Rock Cemetery) and graduated in 1957 from Waterville High School. At 17 years old, he joined the U.S. Army for two years - one year in the States and one year near Paris, France. After returning from the Army, Bob worked for two years at Trane Company in La Crosse and then was hired by AT&T as a telephone lineman/cable splicer. On one of his many weekends spent at his parent’s farm, and as he was returning one evening from Lansing Fish Days, he had a car accident and spent the next year in a Rochester, MN, hospital as a paraplegic. He then returned to his parents’ farm and remained there for the next almost 60 years.

When he returned from the hospital, Bob didn't wallow in his loss, but gathered his strength and plowed forward. His brother Jerry insisted that Bob was able to handle driving a tractor and so it was to be. This was the beginning of Bob driving tractors for his dad, Jerry, and several farmers in the area; he spent many years working the land, which he dearly loved. He had a ramp built to tractor height and would get on the tractor first thing in the morning and never got off it until the day’s farming work was done. He had a siren installed on his tractor in case he ran into trouble or simply needed a gate opened. He especially liked it when most tractors eventually had a cab.

Bob’s life in a wheelchair began at age 26, at a time when few handicapped accessories were available. Bob also adapted hand controls for tractors that he operated. He built or modified many items inside and outside the house to assist him in getting things done. If Bob could reach it, he could fix it, modify it, or build it. After the death of his brother Jerry at 47 years, Bob became a father figure to Jerry’s children: Glenn, Leah, and Jim. He helped his parents as they got older, especially taking care of his mom in her later years. He had great empathy for anyone with an illness or disability.

Bob’s concern and interests were always about family, Harpers Ferry, and the farming community. He was so thankful for the community’s love and support, knowing that without it, he couldn’t have been able to stay on the home farm that he so loved. He took great pleasure when family, a farmer, or friend would call to just visit or ask for his help - anything he could do to help those who had helped him made his day. He will also be remembered for his remarkable memory about the history of this community. He loved the days of CB (old style) radios and at age 60, he learned to operate a computer. He never failed to keep up with the times; it eventually became all about cell phones, scanners, and updated computers for Bob. He kept close ties with family and the computer connected him with all the news/photos about his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and even some great-great-nieces and nephews.

In life, Bob wasn't dealt the best of cards, but he had the strength to live life like he had been given a Royal Flush. To us, he was an inspiration that we will never forget.

He is survived by his sisters: Peg (Norm) McCormick, Jean Livingston, and Cathy (Steve) Piersch; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry, and brother-in-law Norm McCormick; niece Deb Livingston; and nephew Todd Moen.

The family would like to give special thanks to Tom Cota, Kent McCormck, Hope Garin, Veteran Memorial Hospital and Homecare (Kayla, Lori, and Jo Ann), St. Croix Hospice, and the Good Samaritan Society in Waukon.

Sadly we let you know that Dan Severson, Class of 1961, has passed away . . . .

Daniel J. Severson, 83, of Lansing, IA, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19th, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing with Fr. Joseph Sevcik officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing. Friends may greet the family from 9:00 AM until the time of services on Friday at the church. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Lansing is handling arrangements.

Daniel Joseph Severson was born on April 3, 1943, to Harold “Fish” and Lucille (Schwartzhoff) Severson. He graduated from St. George High School in Lansing in 1961, and later attended Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse, WI, where he studied welding.

On November 29, 1963, Dan married the love of his life Mary Sandry in Lansing. Together, they built a life centered on family, hard work, and service to their community. They were blessed with two children: Mari Beth Severson Valley and Mark Severson.

As a young man, Dan held many jobs throughout the area, from delivering milk for Star Dairy to working in the family business, Severson Standard Oil. Eventually, Dan and Mary purchased the business from his father and proudly continued serving the surrounding communities. Dan delivered gasoline, fuel oil, and diesel fuel throughout the region, building relationships and friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Later, Dan and Mary purchased the Standard Oil gas station in Lansing, where customers could stop for fuel, ice, coffee, cold beverages, and warm sandwiches. As their children grew older, they worked alongside their parents - Mark helping with fuel deliveries and Mari Beth working at the gas station. Dan also served on the Lansing Fire Department.

When Dan and Mary became empty nesters, they opened Severson Video in Lansing. The store quickly became a favorite gathering place in the community, especially for local children eagerly awaiting the latest VHS and DVD releases. Dan and Mary loved serving the town they called home and deeply appreciated the support and friendships they received from the people of Lansing.

Dan and Mary were devoted supporters of the Kee High Hawks and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer their granddaughter Chloe. They especially loved attending her baseball games.

Dan is survived by his children: Mari Beth (Jerry) Valley and Mark Severson (Hannah Darling); grandchildren: Jennifer (Cory) O’Neill, Michelle (Josh) Halverson, Daniel (Shelly) Valley, Darin (Ashley) Valley, Chloe (Josh Walleser) Severson, Teela (James) Fleischmann, and Malisa (Ian) Walters, as well as the Strong children: Ella, Lilah, Clara, and Silas. His great-grandchildren include: Ethan and Brylee O’Neill and Evan O’Neill; Olivia and Nora Halverson; Ty, Ella, and Eli Valley; Jenna Valley; and a new great-granddaughter expected in July 2026.

Dan also leaves behind his honorary grandchildren, the children of Clint and Noelle Mohn: Mallory, Mason, Marshall, Morgan, and Marah Mohn - fondly known to Grandma Mary and Grandpa Dan as “the M&M’s”.

He is further survived by his sister Sharon Snitker and her family; his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Marion Sandry-Meiers (Duane), Jean Sandry, and Jim and Cherine Sandry, along with their families.

Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, who passed away on February 2, 2026. Their more than 62 years of marriage were a beautiful example of love, partnership, and devotion to family.

Dan was also preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lucille Severson; brother-in-law Charles Snitker; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law: William and Jean Sandry, Robert Sandry, and Gerald Sandry.

Dan’s life was defined by hard work, dedication, family, and friendships that endured throughout his lifetime. He took pride in serving his community, providing for his family, and building relationships wherever he went. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his kindness, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Sadly, Jim Hurm (Class of 1969), has passed away….

James Cyril Hurm, age 75, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, public servant, and friend, Jim dedicated his life to making his communities stronger and improving the lives of those around him.

Jim was born on January 20, 1951, to Cyril and Muriel (P***y) Hurm. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Jean Ann. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his sons, Matt (Amanda), Kyle (Taylor), and Jon (Brittney); his daughter, Edit; and his cherished grandsons, Cyril James (C.J.), Cassius Liam (Cash), Matthew James (Matty), and William Alexander (Will).

A lifelong learner and passionate advocate for public service, Jim earned his undergraduate degree from Loras College, a Master of Public Administration from Northern Illinois University, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Hamline University. He believed deeply in the power of education and continually sought ways to grow personally and professionally throughout his life.

Jim's distinguished career in public administration spanned decades. He served as city administrator for the communities of Tracy, Minnesota; Shorewood, Minnesota; Austin, Minnesota; and Hales Corners, Wisconsin. He also served as Director of SIMPCO and as Congressional Liaison for U.S. Representative Mike Blouin. Throughout his career, Jim earned the respect of colleagues and citizens alike through his commitment to thoughtful leadership, public service, and community improvement.

A faithful Catholic, Jim lived his faith through service to others and active involvement in his community. He was a proud member of Rotary International and embraced its spirit of Service Above Self. Whether in his professional roles or through volunteer efforts, Jim was always looking for ways to make people's lives better and leave things better than he found them.
Outside of work, Jim was a passionate sports fan. He cheered faithfully for the Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Vikings, and Minnesota Golden Gophers. He was also a great pitcher for batting practice at the park, a role he enjoyed and one that many fondly remember.

Those who knew Jim will remember not only his intelligence and dedication, but also his humor. Family, friends, and colleagues could always count on his monthly funny and witty one-liner, delivered with perfect timing and a smile.
Jim's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the communities he served, and the countless people whose lives were made better by his kindness, leadership, and commitment to service.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness and service in Jim's memory, reflecting the values that guided his life every day.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the funeral service following from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on 2026-06-13 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 648 Main St., Lansing, Iowa.

We sadly let you know that Tim O'Malley, Class of 1969, has passed away...

Timothy “Tim” R. O’Malley, 74, of Lansing, IA, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Lansing. Per Tim’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at TJ Hunters Banquet Hall at 377 Main Street, Lansing on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:00 - 5:00 PM. Memorials may be directed to the family at P.O. Box 655, Lansing, IA 52151. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Lansing is assisting the family.

Timothy Raymond O’Malley was born June 27, 1951, in Davenport, IA, to Dennis and Kathleen (Spinner) O’Malley. He graduated from St. George High School in 1969. He was a member of the US Army, serving in Vietnam. Tim was also a member of the VFW Post 5981 in Lansing. He married Mary Sue Mulholland on February 14, 1976, and to this union, twin daughters were born. Tim and Mary later divorced. He was employed by Village Farm and Home, Northern Engraving, and Isola over the years. His greatest accomplishment was raising his twin daughters.

Tim enjoyed golfing, grilling, boating, mushroom hunting, college basketball, Westerns, the Minnesota Vikings, discussing politics, drinking Coca Cola and coffee, Life Savers, and especially breakfast in town at The Buck Stops Here. His greatest joy came from spending time with his daughters and granddaughters and hearing about their accomplishments and activities. Tim was a proud dad and grandpa who often shared stories about them. He loved his nickname, Grandpa “No”Malley, and often referred to himself as that.

Tim was a simple, stubborn, and easy to please man. Although Tim had an 18-year battle with COPD, he never complained. Lansing was home and where he felt at ease. Everybody loved Tim…to know him was to love him.

He is survived by his twin daughters LeAnn (Matt) Nolte of Atkins, IA, and Lisa O’Malley of La Crosse, WI; his granddaughters: Danika (20), Calista (18), Marissa (16), and Samira (13) of Atkins, IA; his siblings: Ann O’Malley (John Maass), Joan (Bob) Karis, Kim (Al) Carlson, Meg O’Malley (Julie Reeves), Erin (Ron) Gaines, and Jon (Julie) O’Malley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dennis and Kathleen; sister Beth; brother Mark; and many friends.

We sadly let you know that Cindy Schwartzhoff Tierney has lost her husband, Pat Tierney

Patrick Tierney was born on May 18, 1947, in Waukon, Iowa, to Mary and Thomas Tierney. When Pat was just three years old, he and his parents were involved in a tragic car accident that claimed his father’s life. His mother later married Joseph Gavin, and together they raised a lively family of seven children.

Pat grew up in Waukon but loved the summers he spent on the farm of his Aunt Marge and Uncle Charles in Hanover, Iowa, where he enjoyed plenty of room to roam and a little harmless mischief. After high school he spent a summer in Washington, D.C. training to become a butcher, beginning a career that would remain close to his heart. He later moved to La Crosse to attend school, and it was there that he met Cynthia Schwartzhoff (Class of 1967). Pat quickly won Cindy over with his charm, and they were married in 1971. They spent several happy years traveling and enjoying life in La Crosse with dear friends before welcoming their first son, Michael, in 1976.

In the years that followed, Pat and Cindy expanded their family with the births of Mark and Greg. Those who knew the Tierney boys knew that Pat and Cindy had full hearts – and hands! As the boys grew the family loved jumping in the car with their fishing poles to see what they could catch, passing along what became a lifelong family tradition of fishing. During these years Pat leaned into his passion as a butcher and opened Pat & Mike’s Meats with his business partner and good friend, Mike Hartley.

Pat’s love of people and community led to him joining the Men’s Club at St. Pius Parish where he had a great time with the group while helping with fundraising and parish events. He also became involved in one of La Crosse’s favorite traditions, serving on the Oktoberfest Board of Directors and enjoying the celebrations, parades, and camaraderie. The following decades were filled with family, friends, and countless sporting events. Out of those weekends grew the “Rebels,” a group of parents who became lifelong friends. Together, their families started spending a week each summer in Hayward, fishing, playing cards, and enjoying cabin life – a tradition that continues today.

A softer side of Pat emerged when he became a grandfather as caring for and cheering on his grandchildren became one of his greatest joys. Many remember seeing Pat proudly pushing Reese in her stroller down Losey Boulevard - the beginning of a special bond with his granddaughter. He also loved sharing his enthusiasm for the Brewers and Packers with his grandson, Ivan. Both will miss their “Boppa” dearly.

Though Pat’s health declined in recent years, his spirit never did. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering devotion to his wife and family, quick wit, and ability to make others smile. Cindy, his beloved wife of 54 years, remained faithfully by his side until his final breath.

Pat is survived by his wife, Cindy; his sons, Mark (Esti) and Greg; his grandchildren, Reese and Ivan; his siblings, Tess Pladsen, Muggs (Francis) Berns, Kate (Jeff) Tooke, Tom (Coni) Tierney, and Sue (Doug) Bennett Kubitz; brother-in-law Stan (Dianna) Schwartzhoff; sisters-in-law Chris Gavin, Dottie Schwartzhoff, and Judy Schwartzhoff; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Tierney, Mary Tierney Gavin, and Joe Gavin; his beloved son, Michael; his brother, Larry Gavin; his brothers-in-law, Arlyn Pladsen, Neil Schwartzhoff, and Tom Schwartzhoff; and his nephews, Jeff Berns and Austin Bennett.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, 2006 West Street, La Crosse. Father Brian Konopa will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery in Hanover, IA at a later date. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 21st at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson Street, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Friday, May 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Daniel J. Becker, 64, of New Albin, IA, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at home surrounded by family. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 12th from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the New Albin Community Center.

Daniel James Becker was born on October 17, 1961, in Waukon, IA, the son of Joe and Kathleen (Mauss) Becker. He graduated from Kee High School in 1980, and served in the National Guard for seven years. On May 24, 1996, Dan married the love of his life, Keri Shuda, and he continued to show his deep love and devotion to her every day of his life.

Dan worked as an operator for Mathy Construction for 25 years, where his strong work ethic and dedication were evident to all who knew him.

Dan was truly one of a kind; so well liked by everyone who knew him. His friends and family meant the world to him, and he had a way of making every person feel valued and cared for. He would be there for absolutely anyone in need, without hesitation. Dan had the kindest soul, and his generosity, warmth, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.

He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially at the family farm, and had a deep love for his grandchildren. Some of the most cherished memories were made when all the siblings were together filled with laughter, storytelling, and good-natured teasing. They loved to throw jabs at one another and poke fun, creating moments that will never be forgotten. The best of times were often spent gathered in the basement of the farmhouse or sneaking into Joanie’s bed for sibling pictures; simple moments that meant everything.

Survivors include his wife, Keri, of 30 years; three children: Taylor Becker, Jim (Claudia) Mauss, and Jennifer (Aaron) Mitchell; seven grandchildren: Danny and Colton Becker, Madison and Tripper Mauss, and Jada, Caden, and Mason Mitchell; six siblings: Joanie Kramer, Jeanne (John) Colsch, Kevin (Sandy) Becker, Kenny (Denise) Becker, Joe (Kris) Becker, and Cullen (Denise) Becker; and a brother-in-law, Roger Colsch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Kathleen Becker; two siblings, Mary Kay Colsch and Larry Becker; and stepmother, Dorothy Becker.

Janet A. Farley, 88, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Lansing, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, with Rev. Joseph Sevcik officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery, also in Lansing. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Thornburg–Grau Funeral Home in Lansing is assisting the family with arrangements.

Janet Anne Farley was born on September 4, 1937, in Harpers Ferry, Iowa, to Chester and Anna (Kernan) Farley. She was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Wexford Catholic Church in rural Lansing and graduated from Harpers Ferry High School. At the age of 14, Janet began corresponding with a pen pal in Ireland, which later led to her traveling to Northern Ireland, where she lived for six months. In 1967, Janet moved to Cedar Rapids and began working at Collins Radio as a test technician. She retired in 1992 after many years of dedicated service.

Janet was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, where she was actively involved in St. Bernadette’s Circle and regularly helped with funeral dinners. Her faith was central to her life—she attended weekly Mass and prayed daily for her family and friends, always considering her faith a true gift.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing, often doing custom sewing projects. Janet also loved to travel, especially to Ireland, which she visited several times. She cherished time spent with her family, particularly her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She had many friends and greatly enjoyed their company. Janet was also a member of the YMCA, where she enjoyed exercising. She regularly attended Thursday morning forums at Coe College.

Janet is survived by her siblings: Donald (Barb) Farley of DeWitt and Jean Yeoman of Lansing; her brother-in-law, George Stahl of Lansing; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James (Ruth) Farley and Gerald (Beverly) Farley; her sister, Judith Stahl; her brother-in-law, Elmer Yeoman; her nephew, Kevin Farley; and her great-nephew, Eric Troendle.

Casketbearers will be Tony, Dennis, and Paul Farley; Mike Stahl; Matt, Chris, and Tanner Troendle; and Tyler Tiefel.
