As we close the doors on another incredible year at Winans Elementary, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our students, families, staff, and community for making this year so special. 💛

While we are excited for a well-deserved break, we are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another fantastic year of learning, growth, and success.

We wrapped up the school year with one of our favorite traditions—the 4th Grade Tunnel! 🎉👏

Today, our students, staff and families lined the halls to cheer on our amazing 4th graders as they took their final walk through Winans Elementary. It was a special moment filled with smiles, high-fives, and lots of excitement for what lies ahead!

We wish all of our 4th graders the very best as they begin their next adventure in 5th grade at East. We are so proud of all you have accomplished and can’t wait to see the incredible things you do in the future. 💙

Our students showed incredible teamwork, friendly competition, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day. From races to exciting challenges, there were smiles, cheers, and encouragement everywhere you looked!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers who helped run stations and made the day such a success. We also want to give a special shoutout to Ms. Katie for all of her hard work organizing this fun-filled event. We appreciate everything you did to create such a memorable day for our students!

Our behavior paras celebrated the end of an amazing school year with the students they support by enjoying a pizza party together and sharing heartfelt letters. 📝✨ These special moments highlighted the strong relationships, encouragement, and care they have provided throughout the year.

A huge THANK YOU to Ms. Sydney, Ms. Daggett, and Ms. Jenny for everything you do to support our students each and every day. Your patience, dedication, and kindness make a difference in the lives of so many children. We are so grateful for all that you do! 💛

🏕️🔥 Camping Day Fun in First Grade! 🔥🏕️

Mrs. Buckley-Staffan’s first graders traded their desks for the great outdoors today during their exciting Camping Day! 🌲⛺ Students enjoyed a day full of camping-themed fun, imagination, and adventure right inside the classroom. From cozy camp setups to engaging activities and lots of smiles, these campers had an unforgettable experience! 🧭🌟

A big shoutout to Mrs. Buckley-Staffan for creating such a fun and memorable day for her students. We love seeing learning come to life in creative ways! ❤️🏕️

Communication comes in many forms! 💙

Over the past few weeks, Ms. Aswegen’s 2nd grade class teamed up with Mrs. Hill to learn how AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices help individuals who are nonspeaking communicate with others. Students explored different ways to express thoughts, needs, and ideas while building empathy and understanding for others.

To celebrate all they learned, students wrapped up their AAC journey today with some exciting parachute fun! 🌈🎈 What a wonderful way to learn that every voice matters and everyone deserves a way to be heard. ❤️

There were lots of smiles, laughs, and floating through the day as they celebrate the final days of an incredible school year. What a fun way to make memories together! 🦩🌊📚

What a WILD adventure! 🦁🐒🦒

Our kindergarten students had an amazing day exploring Potter Park Zoo! From spotting incredible animals to learning about wildlife and habitats, every moment was filled with excitement, curiosity, and plenty of smiles. 🐘🐅🐧

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and families who helped make this special field trip possible. The memories made today will have our little explorers roaring with excitement for days to come! ❤️🚌
