Recently, our Mater Dei Catholic students and faculty visited Manna on Main and Face to Face Ministries, where they helped with meals, and Spark Senior Center, where they helped seniors weave mats for those experiencing homelessness.

Please ask your PA Senator to oppose House Bill 2632, a measure put forth in the State House that would have a devastating effect on Catholic Education and Mater Dei Catholic.

HB 2632 seeks to end the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program and attempts to recreate it in a way that establishes a series of bureaucratic administrative procedures while cutting $102 million in funding. It was already approved by the PA House of Representatives by a vote of 105 to 97.

Passage of this bill would affect 126 Mater Dei Catholic students. These students and their families have been helped by EITC funds that create scholarships to help offset the cost of tuition. If the EITC program is reduced and/or mired in bureaucratic noise, donors will be less inclined to participate. Consequently, Mater Dei Catholic will have less funds to distribute to deserving families.

Mater Dei Catholic gathered for a beautiful Mass yesterday, the last day of the 2025-26 school year. At the end of Mass we celebrated our school president, Miss Diane McCaughan, and her 50 years of dedication to Catholic education. We are blessed by her leadership and grateful for her love and care for countless students and families over five decades. May God continue to bless Miss McCaughan! 🎉 Field Day Fun! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another wonderful school year!

A special thank you to our amazing 7th-grade students and their teachers for planning and leading a fun-filled Field Day for Grades 1–6. Their creativity, enthusiasm, and leadership made the day a memorable one for everyone.

Although the weather had other plans and we needed to move the festivities indoors, our 7th-grade leaders quickly adapted, bringing the fun into the classrooms without missing a beat.

💙 Thank You, Father Jonathan! 💙

Yesterday, the Mater Dei Catholic School community gathered in prayer to thank God for the gift of Father Jonathan and the many ways he has shared God's love through prayer, kindness, teaching, and friendship.

As he prepares to begin his new ministry as Pastor of Annunciation Parish in Philadelphia, we ask God to bless and guide him always.

🎓💙 Kindergarten Celebration 2026 💙🎓

Yesterday, our Kindergarten students gathered with their families in Saint Stanislaus Church to celebrate a wonderful year of learning, growth, and faith.

Through prayers, poems, and songs, our students shared their talents and reflected on all they have accomplished this year. We are so proud of the confidence, kindness, and joy they have shown throughout the year.

Thank you to our families for your partnership and support as we worked together to help these young learners grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

We wish all of our Kindergarten students and their families a safe, happy, and blessed summer. We look forward to welcoming our newest first graders back to Mater Dei Catholic in September for another exciting year of learning and faith-filled growth!
