The Work Behind the Play ✋✨

Our children are always busy learning, even when it looks like play! Through everyday experiences like painting, building, grasping, stacking, scooping, and manipulating different materials.

These small movements help develop hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and hand strength, important skills that support future tasks like writing, using utensils, getting dressed, and becoming more independent.

🍓👩‍🍳 Little Chefs in Action!

Our Little Chefs enjoyed a hands-on mealtime experience, practicing their cutting and food prep skills while creating a sweet fruit treat. 🍓🍌

At lunch, our friends continued practicing independence through family-style dining! 🌮 Children served themselves, made choices about what they wanted on their plates, and enjoyed eating together with their friends.

At Themba, family-style dining is more than sharing a meal, it gives children opportunities to build independence, practice self-help and social skills, make choices, and develop confidence during everyday routines. 💛

Through stories, art, music, sensory play, and hands-on activities, our friends are exploring all the fun of the fair, from carnival games and animals to fair foods and community helpers!

Along the way, they’re building early language, math, creativity, and social skills through play and discovery. ✨
