Black girls are learning how to code this summer… in 10 different cities.
Black Girls Code just announced their 2026 summer programs, with camps happening in cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Oakland, Washington, D.C., and more, plus two virtual options for girls who don't live in these cities.
And this isn’t just a “summer activity.”
They’re teaching coding, AI, game design, and web development to girls age 10-17
Their goal is to increase representation of Black girls in tech.
This is the kind of early exposure that matters. Because a lot of these spaces were never built with them in mind in the first place.
