Tutoring Tip 👩🏾🏫 Front Loading Instruction
I have a client that struggled the previous year in Math and their parent actually asked me to reteach the whole year to their child. Since the new school year is starting at the end of this month I suggest that our sessions were spent front loading instruction for the new school year and addressing gaps as they arise.
I looked up the math scope and sequence for their new grade level for the math standards they plan to covering during the 1st quarter and planned our sessions around that. So now my client will go into the new school year with a strong foundation on the new vocabulary and concepts that is to come.
Front loading instruction is a strategy that you could use as well right now. Let me know if you need any support!
