Some of our littlest Cardinals were cruising today! Thanks to a grant we received, our Strider balance bikes are finally hitting the floor—and our kindergarteners are loving them! 🚲

These bikes start without pedals, giving students the chance to build balance, coordination, and control before pedals are added later. Such a fun way to learn some BIG skills while staying active! 💪🚲

🏃‍♀️🏃 All K–6 students are invited to participate in a 50-meter race during halftime of the Cardinal home football games on August 28 and September 18! Meet by the shed at the west end of the field with five minutes left in the second quarter. 🏈

👀 K–6 Vision Screening Reminder! 👀

Vision screenings will be held for all K–6 students on Thursday, September 3rd.

If you do not want your child to participate in the vision screening, please contact the LAES office prior.

📬 After the screening:
* Parents/guardians will receive a letter only if the screening identifies a concern that may need follow-up.
* Receiving a letter does not necessarily mean your child needs vision correction. It simply means the screening indicated that follow-up with an eye care professional is recommended.
* If your child passes the vision screening, you will not receive a letter.

Personal devices are not allowed at school this year. Please complete the computer checkout form for your child(ren) as soon as possible. So we can get devices checked out.
