Homecoming is about more than a football game. It’s about coming together, making memories, and enjoying our school!

Our Spanish girls joined the Powder Puff flag football game where Leon from Germany helped make the announcements. Isaac from Mexico competed for Homecoming King. He had to lead a cheer, show off his style in a fashion show, and compete in a spelling bee. Talk about a busy week!

We love seeing our international students jump in and be part of the Springwood community. That’s what Homecoming is all about!

Learning English is hard. Coming to a new country and starting school in another language is even harder.

Getting better takes practice, patience, and a lot of hard work. Every page read, every word spoken, and every mistake helps.

We are proud of our international students and the hard work they put in every day. Those who keep working will succeed.

Cap and gown orders already? 🎓 Senior year is flying by.

Marcus, a senior from Vietnam, is filling out his cap and gown card for graduation. It feels like senior year just started, and now we are already planning for graduation.

Yesterday’s challenge: Don’t talk.

Our cheerleaders wore name tags all day, and if anyone other than a teacher got them to talk, that person earned the right to throw a pie in the cheerleader's face at our afternoon pep rally. If the cheerleader made it through the entire day without talking, the cheerleader got to choose someone to pie.

Leon from Germany was determined to make Luna from Spain talk. And… Leon won.

International friendship, Springwood style.

Thankful our students are challenged in their science classes with thoughtful experiments like this.

We’re not sure what the rules were for this game, but everyone seems to have had a good time.

Our students went from conquering the Slip ‘N Slide to catching a movie with Spider-Man. One minute they were flying down the hill, the next they were watching someone else do the flying.
