Stringwood Summer Chamber Music is an exceptional summer program founded by the Artaria String Quartet for rising chamber musicians ages 12 - 19. In step with the rich musical traditions of America’s finest chamber music centers, Stringwood provides an opportunity for intensive study and mentoring in the quiet woodlands of southeast Minnesota. Recognizing the importance of year-round study for the

serious young artist, the Artaria String Quartet has established a program where every player is given opportunities to grow musically and socially among peers. Stringwood is dedicated to fostering a life-long participation in chamber music through the advancement of chamber music study and performance in a pristine natural environment. The nationally recognized Artaria String Quartet brings to Stringwood their expertize in teaching at the nation’s leading summer programs. They strive not only to enrich the artistic skills of their students but the cultural life of the surrounding community as well.
