Corriher-Lipe Middle School

🌮🎉 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING COMMUNITY PARTNERS! 🎉🌮
What better way to wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month than with a FIESTA?! ❤️💚💛
Today, we had the opportunity to treat our incredible Corriher-Lipe Middle School staff to a special Fiesta Day lunch, and it was made possible entirely through the generosity of some AMAZING local restaurants and businesses!
One of my favorite parts of putting this together was the opportunity to bring food from so many different restaurants into one place! Our staff got to explore different flavors, experience a variety of Hispanic culinary traditions, and try foods they may not have otherwise had the opportunity to enjoy. It was such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate the richness and diversity of Hispanic cultures while ending Hispanic Heritage Month! 🌎❤️
I want to personally thank each of the incredible businesses that helped make this happen:
🌮 El Patron Mexican Grill & Cantina – Thank you for your generosity and for being willing to help us celebrate and recognize our hardworking educators!
🌮 Tacos Don Roger – Thank you for sharing your delicious food with our staff and helping bring authentic flavors to our Fiesta Day celebration!
🌵 No Way Jose's – Thank you for your kindness and willingness to support our school! We are so grateful you were part of this special day!
🌴 El Amigo Mexican Restaurant – Thank you for helping us celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and for generously giving back to the teachers and staff who give so much to our students!
🎉 Fiesta Mexicana Grill – Thank you for helping us bring our Fiesta Day vision to life and making our staff feel appreciated!
🌮 Taqueria Taco Boy – Thank you for sharing your wonderful food and helping our staff experience even more of the amazing flavors our local community has to offer!
🥐 Lia Bakery – Thank you for bringing a sweet touch to our celebration! We loved being able to include a local bakery and showcase another part of Hispanic food culture!
❤️ Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant – Thank you for your generosity and for coming together with so many other local businesses to make this celebration possible! Your support means so much to our school!
💛 Something I have learned through organizing events like this is just how many incredible people and businesses we have in our community who are willing to give back.
Our teachers and staff pour so much of themselves into our students every single day, and being able to surprise them with something special means more than these businesses probably realize.
What started as an idea to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month turned into an opportunity to bring our community together, discover new favorite restaurants, appreciate different cultural traditions, and remind our staff how valued they truly are.
To every restaurant that donated, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! ❤️
I hope everyone who sees this post will take a moment to support these businesses, visit their restaurants, try their food, and thank them for supporting our local educators. They deserve the same love and support they have shown our school!
¡Muchísimas gracias! 🌮🎉❤️

Good morning, Corriher-Lipe families,

This is Dr. Roach calling to inform you that Corriher-Lipe Middle School lost power this morning after a nearby car accident damaged a light pole. Although we were told the power would be restored, Duke Power has notified us that it will not be restored until later this afternoon. As a result, we must cancel the remainder of the school day, and we will begin sending students home at 10. Please make arrangements for your students at their bus stops or for pickup from their schools.
