Dust off those moccasins! ✨The 66th Annual Eastern Shoshone Indian Days Celebration is kicking off with the Youth Powwow on Thursday, June 18th, 2026. The Royalty Pageant will be held at 5 pm on Thursday with a grand entry at 7pm.

The powwow will be filled with great specials: Queen Dionne Ferris’ special will be an Old Style Jingle Red Dress Special.
Princess Zids ArrowWhite's special will be Women's Traditional. Jr Princess Aveila Valdez will hold Jr Girls Fancy Special.
Sam Her Many Horses will be hosting the Iron Man Men’s Fancy Special.
MMIR307.org will be holding its Red Shirt/Red Dress Special.
Wind River Tribal Health will be honoring prostate and cervical cancer victims with a Women’s Blue Dress & Men’s Turquoise Shirt Special.
There will be a Living Legends Special for all dancers who are 70+ sponsored by the Eastern Shoshone Entertainment Committee.

📣Age Categories have changed: Tiny Tots (0-5), Juniors (6-12), Teens (13-17), Jr Adults (18-39), Sr Adults (40-59), Golden Age (60+)

Trinkle Brass Works has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming Arts Council to support concerts in communities of western Wyoming by Portable Masterpieces, a salon orchestra of 9 musicians. Coinciding with the Semiquincentennial creation of the Declaration of Independence, Portable Masterpieces will honor the contributions of American composers and musicians, inspiring audiences to reflect on the ideals of independence through America’s rich history of stories and music.

See it run! What is it, you ask?

It is a reconstruction of an arrastra! An arrastra is a historic milling machine used to crush rocks into sand making it easier for valuable minerals, such as gold, to be extracted.

We will have this arrastra and a mini stamp mill (that's not actually that mini) running on June 20th, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
