The ASI Farm is in full production, and itโ€™s looking beautiful ๐Ÿคฉ

This is hands-on learning at its best. Students in our Regenerative Farm program donโ€™t just study sustainable agriculture, they grow it.

A group of 5 CWC GIS, Expedition Science, and Outdoor Education students just returned from a 5 day trip in the Cirque of the Towers, Wyoming where they helped the Shoshone National Forest complete monitoring of Wilderness characteristics and impact from campers and backpackers. As a part of this work, students visited and recorded recreational impacts to over 200 campsites, and we packed out at least 15 lbs of trash!

Five hundred miles down!

The team has officially crossed the 500-mile mark, riding through the rugged beauty of southwest Montana as they continue their journey along the Continental Divide.

We're also excited to welcome Lucas Schwandt, a Central Wyoming College alumni rider, to the expedition! CWC faculty member Darren Wells has joined the team for this leg of the journey as well.

From incredible scenery to long days in the saddle, the journey continues one mile at a time.

What would you do if you had two months, a bike, and the open trail ahead?

For CWC student Jada Antelope, the answer was easy.

In this first rider update from the Great Divide Bike Expedition, Jada shares what she's most excited about, what makes this journey a little intimidating, and why the unknown is all part of the adventure.

Over the next 65 days, Jada and fellow CWC riders will ride from Canada to Mexico while collecting air quality data along the Continental Divide.

Follow along as we share their journey from the trail.

Great Divide Bike Expedition is three days in, and the miles are adding up.

The team is averaging about 57 miles per day and has already crossed into Montana, making their way through the beautiful Flathead National Forest.

Each day brings new scenery, new challenges, and more data as they continue carrying air quality monitoring equipment along the Continental Divide.

From mornings in camp to long stretches of forest roads, the adventure is officially underway, and theyโ€™re making great progress.

Adventure starts with curiosity...and so does college. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ Whether you're pursuing outdoor leadership, health science, regenerative farming or exploring what's next, Fall enrollment is open at CWC.

Nobody starts at the finish line.

Some students come to CWC for one class. Some earn a certificate that helps them move up at work.

Some discover a new career. Some earn an associate degree and transfer. Some stay and complete a bachelor's degree.

There isn't one right path โ€“ only the one that's right for you.

At Central Wyoming College, you'll find Certificate I and II programs, associate degrees, and bachelor's degree options designed to meet you where you are and help you reach what's next.

Wherever you're headed, your first step can happen right here, close to home.

The adventure begins. ๐Ÿšตโ€โ™€๏ธ

After all the planning, training, packing, tuning bikes, and preparation, the team is officially on the road.

The Central Wyoming College Great Divide Bike Expedition is on the road, a 65-day, 2,700-mile journey from Canada to Mexico along the Continental Divide Mountain Bike Route.

Two CWC students will spend the next several weeks traversing some of the most remote and breathtaking landscapes in North America while contributing to ongoing air quality research by carrying monitoring equipment throughout the expedition.

This is experiential learning at its best โ€“ where adventure, research, and education come together beyond the classroom.

We'll be sharing regular updates from the trail throughout the expedition, so follow along as the journey unfolds. https://www.cwc.edu/alpinescience/
