Antelope Valley College has been awarded the NASA Aerospace Skilled Technical Workforce Hub Grant and will serve as the lead institution for the Southern California NASA Aerospace Skilled Technical Workforce Hub.

In partnership with Pasadena City College and MiraCosta College, the three-year regional consortium will strengthen Southern California's aerospace workforce pipeline by developing and expanding industry-aligned education, work-based learning opportunities, and career pathways that prepare students for high-demand technical careers supporting NASA and the aerospace industry.

The Hub will collaborate with NASA, aerospace industry partners, K-12 Career Technical Education programs, and regional workforce development organizations to align education and training with industry workforce needs while creating sustainable pathways into aerospace careers. The initiative will also develop and share innovative curriculum models and workforce strategies that can benefit community colleges throughout California.

Celebrating a Legacy of Service 🎉

The Antelope Valley College Board of Trustees recognized retiring faculty and staff during the July 13, 2026 Board of Trustees meeting, celebrating their years of dedication and lasting contributions to the college and its students.

Congratulations to Tina McDermott, Arlette Arlette, Christine Williams, Ron Benedetti, and John Wanko on their well-earned retirement. Thank you for your years of service and the lasting impact you've made on the AVC community.
