Career fairs at Thaddeus Stevens College open the doors to opportunity for students.

For second-year Residential Remodeling Technology student Dominic Brannon, one career fair conversation led to in-field work experience with Zook Interiors over the summer.

Dominic gained experience hanging drywall and learning finishing work, getting a closer look at what a career in his field could look like. The experience gave him the chance to apply what he’s learning in the classroom in a real work environment and gain insight he can carry with him into his future career. 🔨

As the temperatures start to drop, we’re heating up with the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration program!

Second-year students are learning installation processes for equipment ranging from gas and oil-fired boilers to water heaters, while first-year students are building their electrical foundation through a project involving series and parallel circuits.

By working with the same systems they’ll encounter in the field, students are developing technical skills and problem-solving abilities that help keep homes and businesses comfortable year-round. 🔧

From foundation to framing, a house is starting to take shape at the Home Construction site.

Second-year Carpentry Technology students are framing the home, and every section requires careful measurements and coordination with the right priority order as students work through the next stage of construction.

These students aren’t practicing their skills on a mock-up. By expanding education to a real job site, we challenge more than 150 students to face true-to-life obstacles. By graduation, they’ll complete a house that someone will call home. 🏡

Held at the Transportation Center, these short-term trainings prepare technicians to perform accurate, compliant vehicle inspections while building practical diagnostic skills. 🚘

Thaddeus Stevens College kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with students and alumni, joining the Lancaster Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for its inaugural Hispanic Heritage Community Festival.

Our students had the opportunity to celebrate the richness of Hispanic and Latino cultures while connecting with the community. ✨
