Honoring Cindy Witmer and 40 Years of Service at IU13: Cynthia “Cindy” Witmer began her career with IU13 nearly 40 years ago as a Teacher Aide/Interpreter. She currently serves as an Interpreter-II in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing program at Warwick School District. Over the years, she has taken on numerous interpreting assignments beyond her regular duties, supporting student activities such as school plays, sports events, and award ceremonies. Cindy continues to be a valuable member of the IU13 family and exemplifies our culture of .

IU13 Deaf/Hard of Hearing Job Training students from Warwick got the opportunity to work at Happiness is…Granola which included preparing granola samples and products to sell at the business's Lancaster Central Market stand.

Learn how to help students learn to make sense, think, and reason through engaging daily problem-solving routines.
Building Local Historical Content Knowledge (Oct. 17th)
Tour of Lancaster City designed to increase content knowledge and provide teachers with strategies to integrate Lancaster history into existing curriculum.
Socratic Seminars (first session Nov 2nd)
Series of no-cost sessions facilitated by expert historians that engage educators in Socratic discussions using primary sources.
Inquiry in the ELA and Social Studies Classroom with Dr. Katie Caprino (Nov 8th)
Workshop that will give middle- and high-school English and social studies educators an understanding of effective essential questions that matter, and then how to frame units around these questions.
