We had a happy week at Pequea Preschool!
Our 2s class celebrated fall with all things pumpkin. They painted pumpkins and bowled with pumpkins. They explored pumpkins with their 5 senses. They listened to the sound they made as they patted them, they smelled the pulp as they mixed up muffins, they felt the insides in the sensory bin, they tasted their muffins for snack and looked at the colors of different pumpkins.
Our 3s classes they learned about water and air transportation. They painted watercolor airplanes, made sailboats, learned about the letter K and squares.
One of our 4s classes practiced writing the letter F and the number 5. They talked about their favorite foods and cut out pictures of healthy and unhealthy foods. They went to the back porch and painted one of the fall trees with beautiful red leaves that was growing in the parking lot. They also did some finger painting and sorted fruit by color in the sensory bin. They enjoyed french fries for a snack.
Our other 4s class learned the letter G and number 7. They made the letter G into a grape, and they played “grocery store.” They read ‘Good, Good Father’ and talked about all the good gifts God gives us. They ate granola and made grilled cheese sandwiches for snack.
Pre-K learned the letter H. They snacked on hot dogs (students cut them), Honeycomb cereal, made H’s with pretzel sticks and dipped them in hummus. They read Hide-and-seek Hippo and Hugless Douglas. They read The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin then talked about how God makes us all different for a purpose and that we are all special to Him just like Spookley in the story. They talked about the pumpkin parable that they had heard in the beginning of October and discussed how they can be lights for Jesus. They were happy to play on the playground, hop through hula hoops and play with hats and Hot Wheels in the play area. On Thursday they had Helping Hands Day. They each brought in a food item to be donated to a local food bank, read One Good Deed, and discussed how they can be helping hands (serve others) for Jesus.

We had a great week at Pequea Preschool!
The 2’s learned more about fall. They stamped paint with Legos and made fall tissue paper trees. They sang songs about pumpkins and had fun with animal yoga.
The 3s classes learned the letter Tt and finished their emotions theme by making a person filled with different pictures their feelings. They also made feelings bears giving each feeling a different color.
One of our 4s classed practiced writing the letter E and the number 4. They read some books about elephants and painted an elephant on the easel. They learned that God created the heavens and Earth, then made a coffee filter earth. They cut out the capital letter and lowercase letter E and sorted them into envelopes.
The other 4s class learned the letter F and number 6. They played with the play food, fireworks, farm and fishing rods. They put feathers on the letter F and made shaving cream leaves. They had orange rice in their sensory bin. They also ate fruit loops for snack.
Our Pre-K class learned the letter G. They read The Good Guest, God Loves You So Much, and Garden A-Z. They snacked on green peppers and granola bars. They played on the playground in the great weather, made gardens and played with goats & giraffes in the imaginary play area. To finish their week, they had Grandparents’ Day. They snacked on ginger snaps, graham crackers, gingerbread cookies, drank grape juice, read The Ultimate Guide to Grandparents, and made a three generation family tree craft all while enjoying time with their grandparents.

We had a fabulous week at Pequea Preschool!
The 2’s class started learning about the color orange. They used scissors to cut orange play dough and made square collages with orange paper. They worked on name recognition and enjoyed reading books about fall.
One of our 4s classes celebrated fall. They pounded golf tees into a pumpkin, they made shape jack-o’-lanterns and did a little pumpkin math. They also went on a field trip to the library where they listened to stories, sang a few songs, and got a tour of the library. They also got to use the book drop.
Our other 4s class learned the letter E and the number 5. They made E in and egg and went on a field trip to the library.
Our Pre-K class learned the letter F. They read Fifi’s Flute, Friendshapes and the Rainbow Fish. They snacked on French fries, made faces (tortilla shell face, raisin eyes, banana slice nose, apple slice smile and “glued” them on with peanut butter) and a Friendship Snack. Each student brought a sandwich bag full of a snack to share, poured them into a big bowl and mixed them together. They played on the playground in the fabulous weather, with the flower garden in the play area, looked at books about fish from the class library, and played flip the feeling faces during rectangle time. They talked about what it means to be a good friend and how Jesus can be their forever friend.

We had a beautiful week at Pequea Preschool!
The 2s class learned about circles and the color blue. They painted on easels with blue paint and made shapes with blue play dough. They made circle collages and had fun outside with sidewalk chalk. They also got to release a monarch butterfly they’d been watching transform since it was a caterpillar!
The 3s finished up their “all about me” theme. They talked the Creation story and about how God made us all unique by giving us all different fingerprints. They spent some time out on the playground and bouncing balls in the gym.
The 4s class focused on the letter A and the number zero. They learned about the Bible character Adam and did an apple craft. They had acorns in the sensory bin and animals to play with. They tasted red, green, and yellow apples then voted on which they liked best. They brought a stuffed animal to class to measure and draw.
The other 4’s class learned the letter A and number 1. They made the letter A into an alligator and painted portraits of animals. They ate apple sauce, animal crackers, and had apple juice. In the sensory bin they made pretend apple pies following a recipe.
Our Pre-K class learned the letter B. They snacked on bears, bananas, birthday cupcakes & buttered their own bread. They read Bear Blows Bubbles, Bugs, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?. They blew bubbles, played with beans, buttons & bugs in the sensory bin, rode bikes and played with balls in the gym and sang the B-I-B-L-E. They read David & Goliath, talked about opposites and practiced their Bible verse.

We had an AMAZING 1st week at Pequea Preschool!
The 2s class spent time learning about the classroom, the school and our new friends. We learned about butterflies while watching our caterpillars and chrysalises in the classroom. We played with play dough and colored pictures to take home.
Our 3s class had a great time kicking off their “all about me theme” with dotting their names. They learned circles and the color blue by dotting blue circles and played with pool noodles and shaving cream in their sensory bin. They spent some time on the playground.
One of our 4s classes drew a self-portraits. They also made pencils with their name on it. They talked about their families and made a shape house. They read some fun books and played on the playground.
The other 4s class had a great first week learning our friends’ names. We made puzzle pieces that go together as a big class puzzle. They made pages of a book “all about us”.
The Pre-K class learned the rules of the classroom, about their friends and the letter A. They read God Made Space, On the Moon, Abby the Alligator’s Adventures & Apple Picking. They snacked on animal crackers, alphabet cookies, made A’s with pretzel sticks and took a vote to see if green, red or yellow apples were their favorite. They played on the playground, looked at apple and space books in the learning area and played with animals during free play. They did an astronaut craft.
