The Adamstown Area Library has partnered with Millersville University to provide FREE computer and digital literacy training to participants living in our service area (Adamstown Borough, Denver Borough, Brecknock Township, East/West Cocalico Townships).
These online courses (Keyboarding, Computer Skills in the Workplace, and Ace Your Job Search) are offered with in-person instruction in our community room and will lead to four noncredit certificates! Learn Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access as well as how to type, send emails, apply for jobs online, and more!

United Way of Lancaster County is seeking nonprofit organizations to apply for a grant to overcome vaccine hesitancy and inequity in Lancaster County. This unique grant award focuses on residents within the 17602 and 17603 zip codes by hosting community vaccination events.
LIVE PA is a collaboration between the Commonwealth’s Office of Advocacy and Reform, Departments of Health and Human Services, United Way of Pennsylvania, and local United Ways to ensure the underserved population receive the vaccination throughout the Commonwealth. Grant awards are based on the estimated vaccinations per event (nonprofit receives $10 per shot). Grant awards range between $200 - $20,000.

Global Citizenship: Acknowledging Interconnectedness and Cultivating Social Justice
In the midst of a global pandemic, systemic racial injustice and global environmental crisis related to climate change, our connection to other groups and cultures is relevant now more than ever. The Learning Institute’s 8th Annual Global Well-Being conference will focus on using the social justice advocacy theoretical approach to developing global citizenry to address navigating our interconnectedness.
