I hope summer has been relaxing for you and you have been able to enjoy family time. With that being said, Back to School time is almost here. Please look at the information below to answer any questions you might have. If you need anything or still have other questions, you can email me, Nelson Karshner at [email protected].
Families can pick up student schedules from 9-2 on August 27&28. Accurate student schedules can also be accessed on PowerSchool starting on the same date.
Open House will be August 26 from 5-6:30PM. Schedules will also be passed out at that time; students can check out their lockers, and meet their teachers too!
Students return to school on September 1.
School hours will be 8:00-2:57.
The doors will open at 7:30AM for student drop off.
Parent drop off will be in the front of the building at the Main entrance. Parents should enter the lot by the digital sign across from the airport. Please follow the observed traffic pattern. A traffic flow map is below.
Bus riders and student walkers will enter the building at the D3 door behind the gym. The C2 will remain locked.
Upon entering the building, students will need to power off and put away their cell phones. If they are eating breakfast, they will sit in the cafeteria. If they are not eating, they will sit in the gym. Students will be released to go to their locker and then their first period/homeroom at 7:47AM.
All students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch this year. This only covers the cost of a regular breakfast or lunch. Extra portions or a la cart food items will be available for purchase.
Only sling bags are permitted to be used in the building. Bookbags/backpacks will need to be stored in lockers during the day.
Cell phones are not permitted to be used during the school day. Students are expected to turn them off and put them in their lockers in the morning before class.
Water bottles are permitted as long as they do not pose a distraction. Stanley Cups, tumblers, etc. should not be carried in the building. Water fountains are also available to all students.
Looking forward to a wonderful school year!
