Did you know an estimated 43 million adults in the United States read below a third-grade level?

Behind that number are parents, workers, immigrants, returning citizens and older adults—each with different experiences and goals.

Adult education can help someone:

✔ Learn English

Our community signed on to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in 2009 to give our children the best start in life. Inspired by Dolly Parton’s own dad, who couldn’t read or write.

While our hearts are incredibly sad, we’re more inspired than ever to continue this important mission. Together, we are building a brighter future for our children.
