WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN DROP-OFF & PICKUP?

You drop them off in the morning…
and pick them up a little BIGGER. ❤️

Maybe not taller. 😂

But somewhere between “Bye, Mommy!” and “Mommy’s here!” a whole lot can happen.

🌱 A little more independence develops.
💬 A new word gets practiced.
🧩 A problem gets solved.
🤝🏾 A friendship gets stronger.
🎨 An imagination gets stretched.
📚 Something new finally makes sense.
💪🏾 A child discovers, “I can do it myself!”

And sometimes the biggest moments are the ones that never make it onto a progress report.

It’s the child who shared without being asked.

The toddler who used their words instead of crying.

The preschooler who helped a friend.

The little one who tried something new after saying “I can’t.”

The child who fell down—and decided to get back up.

That’s development too. ❤️

At Bless the Children Academy & 10 Hour Care, we believe the hours between drop-off and pickup aren’t simply time that passes.

EVERY CHILD HAS THEIR OWN STORY

Children don’t all grow at the same speed.
They don’t learn the same way.
And they were never meant to. ❤️

One child may walk into the classroom ready to talk to everybody.

Another may need a little time before they’re comfortable enough to say hello.

One may recognize every letter in the alphabet. 📚
Another may build something with blocks that makes you wonder, “How did they even think of that?” 🧱

One may love painting. 🎨
One may love numbers. 🔢
One may love music. 🎵
One may simply need someone patient enough to help them discover what they love.

And that’s the beauty of childhood.

DEVELOPMENT ISN’T A RACE. 🌱

At Bless the Children Academy & 10 Hour Care, we want to create spaces where children have opportunities to develop while becoming more confident in who they are.

We celebrate the big milestones. 🎉

But we celebrate the little ones too.

A DAY IN THEIR WORLD

They think they’re playing. We know they’re LEARNING. 🌈

To a child, it’s just another exciting day.

🧱 They’re stacking blocks.
🎨 They’re making a masterpiece.
🧸 They’re pretending.
📖 They’re listening to a story.
🏃🏾 They’re running outside.
🤝🏾 They’re playing with friends.

But underneath all that FUN… something incredible is happening.

🧱 BLOCKS become problem-solving.
🎨 ART becomes creativity & fine-motor development.
🧸 PRETEND PLAY becomes language & imagination.
📖 STORY TIME becomes literacy & vocabulary.
🤝🏾 FRIENDSHIPS become communication & social-emotional skills.
🏃🏾 OUTDOOR PLAY becomes strength, coordination & confidence.

Childhood learning doesn’t always look like sitting at a desk.

Sometimes it looks like paint-covered fingers. 🎨
Sometimes it sounds like giggles. 😂
Sometimes it looks like a tower of blocks crashing to the floor for the 15th time! 😂

But they’re experimenting. They’re thinking. They’re communicating. They’re trying again.

❤️ IT TAKES A SPECIAL HEART!

Not everyone is called to care for children. ❤️

It takes patience when little emotions become BIG emotions.

It takes encouragement when a child whispers, “I can’t do it.”

It takes gentleness when someone is missing Mommy.

It takes creativity to turn an ordinary Tuesday into an adventure. 🎨

It takes wisdom to recognize that two children may need two completely different things in the very same moment.

And sometimes… it takes a whole lot of energy. 😂💞
