So excited to have you an alumna join the team! Welcome back Heather!

📣 Please join us in welcoming Heather Kimble to Lancaster Mennonite as our new After School Care Director!

As a current LM parent and 2005 alumna, Heather is already a familiar face in our community. She brings years of experience serving families through her work with the Chester County Intermediate Unit and children's ministry, where she has helped create safe, caring, and engaging environments for young children.

Heather's heart for serving others, along with her strong organizational skills and commitment to building relationships, make her a wonderful addition to our team. We are excited to welcome her back to Lancaster Mennonite and look forward to the care and encouragement she will provide to our students and families.

Please join us in giving Heather a warm LM welcome! 💛🖤

It's always a joy to see our alumni living out their faith and serving others!

This summer, recent Lancaster Mennonite School graduate Afomya Chaka '26 returned to Camp Hebron for her second summer on staff, serving as a counselor during Family Camp. It was especially meaningful to see her connecting with Lancaster Mennonite students and families (alumna and staff) who were attending camp while helping children grow in their faith, build friendships, and experience the joy of God's creation.

Afomya, thank you for using your gifts to serve others and for being a wonderful example of Christ's love. We're grateful to see you continuing to make a difference, and we can't wait to see where God leads you next!

💙

🎓✨ There's nothing quite like a class reunion.

Whether it's been 30, 45, 50, 60, or even 70 years since graduation, reunions are a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with classmates, reminisce about shared memories, and see where life has taken one another.

This fall, we're excited to celebrate milestone reunions for the Classes of 1956, 1966, 1976, 1981, and 1996! If your class is gathering—or if you'd like to see what other reunions are planned—visit the Class Reunions page on our website for dates, details, and contact information: https://www.lancastermennonite.org/events/?ct=class-reunions .

We can't wait to welcome you back to campus and celebrate the lifelong connections that make the LM alumni community so special. 🖤💛

Congratulations to LM alumna Jessica King '92 on being featured in Many Strands, a new exhibition at Parrot Gallery!

Jessica is one of three artists whose work explores the threads that connect generations through craft, creativity, and community. Raised in Lancaster County, Jessica learned textile arts from her mother and grew up surrounded by the rich tradition of Mennonite women stitching comforters, relief kits, and bandages for neighbors around the world. From learning to knit at age eight to spinning, dyeing, felting, and raising Angora goats on her small farm, her work reflects a lifelong appreciation for creating with her hands.

Beyond her textile arts, Jessica has devoted her career to weaving connections across communities through civic engagement, nonprofit leadership, local government, and her work helping launch the Lancaster Weaver Awards—celebrating those who strengthen the social fabric of Lancaster County.

We're grateful to celebrate Jessica and the many ways she continues to weave together creativity, compassion, and community. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

📍 Many Strands is on display at Parrot Gallery. Be sure to check it out and support this inspiring exhibition!
