🏃‍♂️ 50 Years of Running Strong! 🏃‍♂️

Congratulations to LM alumnus Elvin Kraybill '66, who recently completed his 50th consecutive Red Rose Run—an incredible milestone that speaks to a lifetime of dedication, perseverance, and healthy living.

At 78 years old, Elvin was one of only two participants to have taken part in every Red Rose Run since the inaugural race in 1977. This year's event was made even more special as he was joined by children, grandchildren, and extended family, all cheering him on as part of "Elvin's Esquires."

Beyond the race itself, Elvin's passion for running has inspired generations of runners and helped shape our local community, including his advocacy for what is now the Lancaster Junction Rail Trail.

His advice for younger generations? “Just move—even if it’s just walking. And if you like running, push your limits sometimes at a race.”

Congratulations, Elvin, on this remarkable achievement and for showing us what it means to stay active, committed, and engaged for a lifetime! 🎉👏

🎓 Congratulations, Lancaster Mennonite School Class of 2026! 🎓

On Saturday, 60 seniors crossed the stage at our 84th Commencement Ceremony, celebrating years of learning, growth, friendship, and faith-filled formation.

Rooted in this year’s theme, *Rooted in Christ* (Colossians 2:6–7), graduates were encouraged to continue building their lives on the firm foundation of faith as they take their next steps into college, careers, service, and beyond.

From inspiring student reflections and beautiful musical performances to the presentation of diplomas, faculty blessing, and the traditional hat toss, the day was filled with gratitude, joy, and anticipation for the future.

Class of 2026, thank you for the impact you have made on our school community. We are proud of all you have accomplished and excited to see how God will continue to work through your lives in the years ahead.

🌱 Stay rooted.
🎓 Keep growing.
💙 Once a Blazer, always a Blazer.

One final lap around campus. 💙🎓

Today, our seniors walked the halls of Lancaster Mennonite one last time as students — through the elementary, middle, and high school buildings that have been part of their story for so many years. Alongside them were some very special little companions, PreK and kindergarten buddies, future LM graduates, walking beside them in wonder and excitement.

There’s something powerful about seeing where these students started and who they have become. From backpacks bigger than they were to caps and gowns preparing for graduation day, God has been faithfully at work through every classroom, friendship, challenge, achievement, and moment in between.

As Saturday’s graduation approaches, we invite our LM community to join us in praying for the Class of 2026 — that they would celebrate well, walk confidently into what’s next, and continue to seek and follow God wherever He leads them.

We are so proud of you, seniors. Once a Blazer, always a Blazer. ❤️🔥

Last night, we had the privilege of celebrating outgoing Board Chair and LM alumna Kathy Beiler ’85 for her incredible leadership and service to Lancaster Mennonite School.

The LM Board hosted an open house for current board members and the administrative team to honor Kathy as her term as Board Chair comes to a close at the end of June. It was a special evening filled with refreshments, gifts, and heartfelt gratitude for the countless hours, dedication, wisdom, and care she has poured into LM.

As an alumna, Kathy’s commitment to Lancaster Mennonite runs deep. Throughout her leadership, she has helped guide LM toward a strong and sustainable future while faithfully supporting the mission and community she once experienced as a student herself. LM is stronger because of her leadership, vision, and servant-hearted dedication.

Kathy, thank you for leading so faithfully and for giving back to your alma mater in such meaningful ways. Your impact on LM will be felt for years to come.

As we celebrate Kathy’s leadership, we also look forward to welcoming incoming Board Chair Dr. Kim Phipps this July as she steps into this important role.

⛳ It was un-FORE-gettable!

This week, alumni, friends, sponsors, and supporters gathered for Lancaster Mennonite’s 30th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament at Meadia Heights Golf Club — and what a beautiful day it was to reconnect, build relationships, and support a meaningful cause together.
