A few weeks ago, DCA celebrated our amazing Pre-K and Kindergarten graduates! 🎓

These children have worked incredibly hard throughout the school year to reach this exciting milestone. It has been such a joy and honor to watch them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. The progress they have made is truly remarkable, and we could not be more proud of each and every one of them.

This year, we celebrated 16 Pre-K graduates and 5 Kindergarten graduates. These students have shown dedication, perseverance, kindness, and a love of learning that will serve them well as they move on to their next chapter.

Our Pre-K graduates are more than ready to rock Kindergarten, and our Kindergarten graduates are prepared to take on First Grade—with one special student heading off to Second Grade!

Congratulations to all of our graduates. Keep shining, keep learning, and keep trusting God as you spread your wings and soar to bigger and better things. We are beyond proud of you and cannot wait to see all that you accomplish! ❤️🎓📚

What an amazing Park Day DCA had today! ☀️

The weather was absolutely beautiful, the turnout was incredible, and it was such a special day filled with fellowship, laughter, celebration, and soaking up these final sweet moments with our little ones here at DCA. Today was all about celebrating a year full of learning, growing, and connecting with such amazing families.

One of the most special moments of the day was releasing our butterflies. The children have been learning all about the butterfly life cycle, and today we were able to watch those beautiful butterflies spread their wings and fly out into the world… just like our children will be doing very soon. 🦋

And of course, since it was National Chocolate Chip Day, we had to celebrate with some delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies! 🍪

The day truly could not have been any more perfect. We are so thankful for our DCA families and the memories we continue to make together.

The DCA teachers were so incredibly blessed this week by our families and board members. From lunch, delicious sweet treats, thank-you cards, pictures, flowers, wish list gifts, books, and so much more! We truly felt the love all week long.

Our teachers pour so much time, energy, and love into DCA day in and day out, and we are so thankful for each of them. It’s kind of hard for the children to believe that their teachers have lives outside of school. If you ask them, they probably think we sleep here! They are always mind blown when they find out we have families, hobbies, and favorite things to do.

Not everyone gets to see that side of our teachers, so here’s a little sneak peek:

Ms. Alice-enjoys fishing, reading, gardening, and you will probably find her poolside quite a bit in the summer. She also enjoys trips to the Jersey Shore, pizza, trivia, and she loves her George. 😍🌹🍅🍕

Ms. Krista- loves spending time with her family. You will often find her at a baseball field or soccer field. She enjoys hiking and being outdoors, and she and her husband have season passes to the Phillies, so they will most likely be at a ball game all season long. ⚾🧢⚽🏞️

Ms. Samantha- also loves being outdoors. She enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, reading, and is a big Phillies fan. Between both of her boys playing baseball, she tries to get to as many games as possible. ⚾🧢📖🥕

Ms. Ashley spends about 90% of her life at some sort of sporting event involving her children. Whether it’s football, wrestling, basketball, track and field, soccer — you name it, she will probably be there. She is heavily involved with the high school football Booster Club, where she is currently president. When she does have a spare moment, she enjoys being at the beach, gardening, home decor, decorating, designing, and creating spaces.

We love our teachers, we are so thankful for them, and we hope they have one of the best summers coming up here shortly — because it is so well deserved! ❤️

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and all week long I’ll be giving shout-outs to the best teachers in town!

I know I may be biased, but these ladies truly pour their hearts, their love for Jesus, and their time into our amazing little students day in and day out. They are warm, kind, patient, forgiving, funny, outgoing, creative and the list goes on and on.

DCA is incredibly blessed to have this team. They help give children an early love for school, learning, and Jesus. One of our greatest joys is raising little disciples.

A few weeks ago, DCA had the honor of welcoming Diffusion Dance Company to our school and what an incredible experience it was! 💃🕺

This is always one of our favorite highlights of the year. The children had the opportunity to dance and worship to Christian music, step out of their comfort zones, and truly express themselves.

It’s always so special to see a different side of the children as they let loose, have fun, and celebrate together. It was a joyful day filled with movement, laughter, and meaningful moments we won’t forget!

🍩🥛Doughnuts with Grown-Ups was such a fun time at DCA! We enjoyed a lively and competitive game of bingo, delicious doughnuts from our small local bakeries, a fun photo backdrop, wonderful fellowship, and the chance to make sweet memories together.

DCA loves connecting with our parents and children on a more personal level, and Doughnuts with Grown-Ups is the perfect event for just that. We are so blessed by this wonderful group of parents and children!

This time of year is so special at DCA. As we celebrate the greatest miracle, it’s been such a joy to hear the children’s questions, curiosity, and sweet conversations about Jesus.

In the midst of the busyness, we’ve taken time to slow down, focus on what truly matters, and fill our days with lots of love, learning all about Jesus

Last week at DCA we celebrated Read Across America, and it was such a fun and meaningful week together! We spent time diving into some wonderful books that shared powerful messages for our little learners.

Throughout the week we talked about how we should treat others, how important it is to love ourselves for who we are, and how God created each of us uniquely and loves us so very much. We also enjoyed plenty of silly stories that had the children laughing so hard their bellies hurt!

We tied everything together with a fun spirit week, including Wacky Tacky Day, wearing our DCA Love shirts, and other fun activities throughout the week.

Teaching children about books and helping them develop a love for reading at such a young age is truly something special to witness. Books are such a powerful tool, and it’s amazing to watch how much children can learn, imagine, and discover through the joy of reading.

Due to inclement weather, Discovery Corner Academy will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, March 3.
School hours will be 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with Kindergarten and Extended Day continuing until 3:00 PM.

Teaching children about different cultures and traditions is such an important part of helping them grow into kind and curious individuals. Exploring celebrations from around the world allows them to see the beauty in our differences and the connections we all share.

Today, we learned about Chinese New Year. We talked about what the celebration means, how families prepare, and the traditions that make it so special. The children were especially excited to make and eat a special dragon-themed snack together. We also created colorful lantern crafts, learning how lanterns are an integral part of the Chinese New Year celebration!

It was such a joyful, hands-on way to explore and celebrate something new! 🐉🏮
