A great message sent to us yesterday from Lancaster County 4-H'er Natalie Sprinkle as we celebrate National 4-H week:
"Hey everyone!
Today, October 5, is National 4-H and the official kick-off of National 4-H week 🍀!
As such, I thought I would share some about how this wonderful organization has improved my life and built me into the person I am today.
Beginning 4-H way back in 2023, I entered a horse club purely for the horse aspect of it. However, what began small quickly snowballed into more involvement than I could have imagined. From placing highly in the state Horse Judging competition mere months after learning what horse judging was, attending 4-H State Congress, to becoming a certified 4-H Ambassador.
Time has passed very quickly, and in the four short years in this program, I have had the opportunity to compete in national level horse competitions, attended many national 4-H summits and gatherings, make quality and long-lasting connections with fellow 4-H'er's and mentors, and of course, better my community, both locally and statewide.
Now, as my last year comes ever closer, I only hope that I can continue to grow and better the path for others to come behind me.
I also am ever grateful to those mentors, leaders, peers, and parents who have made my success possible.
To those just hearing about or considering 4-H, know that there is always a spot open for you. If you are in 4-H, then it has been in honor to serve with you, and I look forward to making the most of my last year with you all.
May we all become Beyond Ready and Make the Best Better.
