TE 2026-2027 Back to School Information
Athletic Meetings:
All fall athletes planning to participate in a fall sport must attend this meeting with a parent/guardian. Meetings will be held on Tuesday, August 4th and Thursday, August 6th at 6:00 PM at Thomas Ewing. There will also be a meeting on Saturday, August 8th at 8:00 AM at Thomas Ewing. Athletes also must register themselves online via Final Forms for the upcoming school year, the registration link can be found on the Lancaster Gales Athletic website. This is for all fall sports participants grades 7-12.
August Office Hours:
Office hours will be 7:45am-3:15pm starting August 12.
Back to School Open House: Our Back to School Open House for students, families, and community will be on Wednesday, August 26th from 5:00-6:30.
Schedule Pick-up:
Thursday, August 27 9:00am-2:00pm
Friday, August 28 9:00am-2:00pm
First Day of School:
Tuesday, September 1st @ 8:00am
Picture Day:
Friday, September 11 8:15am-11:00am
Power School & Student Schedules:
Schedules in PowerSchool for the 2026-2027 school year will be available through the online portal. Please note that counselors will still be working on cleanup at the time that schedules are available to view. Information about how to request a schedule change through a google form will be emailed to students.
School Day Time:
Thomas Ewing will run on the same schedule as previously with school starting at 8:00am and ending at 2:57pm.
Traffic/Parking/Student Pickup/Dropoff:
1. The lane off of Pleasant Springs Boulevard is for Lancaster City Schools buses only.
2. All parent drop off and pick up is from the Sheridan Drive entrance. Please follow the lane around to the back of the building and drop off your student at the back gymnasium door. Please follow the cones out back. Please have your student ready so that we can keep traffic moving as smoothly as possible. Please help keep our children safe.
3. Remember that the doors open at 7:30am daily if you would like to try to avoid traffic. School starts at 8:00am.
Bus Transportation:
Please visit the district website and under the transportation page you will find bus route information on the MyRide K-12 app. Here is the link to directions on how to set up your My Ride App:
Directions for My Ride App Parents will need their student's school ID to register for the App.
Attendance Office Information:
To call or email about your students' attendance, please call Mrs. Ashby at 740-687-7347 or email to [email protected] . Anytime your student is not at school you must communicate that to the Attendance Office. If your student is leaving school during the school day use the same number or email leaving the student's name, date, and time of release.
School Fees:
School fees may be paid through myschoolbucks.com or contact the office at 740-687-7347.
Chromebooks:
We will provide classroom sets of Chromebooks for grades 6-8. Students may take a Chromebook home if they check it out of the library.
Parent Communication:
Thomas Ewing communicates with parents and the community via the following ways; PowerSchool Email, Parent Square, and Facebook (Thomas Ewing Jr HIgh). Please make sure to update your email in the PowerSchool parent portal and you will automatically receive PowerSchool and Parent Square emails.
Cell Phones:
Need to be put away everyday all day.
