Substitute teachers help ensure continuity of education for students, while enjoying the benefit of a flexible schedule. IU13 provides required Guest Teacher Training for IU13 or any participating Lancaster or Lebanon County school district. Minimum requirement to apply is a bachelor’s degree in any field.

IU13 is now seeking candidates for Supervisor of Classroom and Itinerant Instruction for Preschool Early Intervention. The Early Intervention Program of IU13 provides support and services to children, from age three to age five, with disabilities and the need for specially designed instruction.

This full-time position, based in Lebanon County, has great benefits and serves in Lancaster and Lebanon counties.

This position is responsible for supervision, coordination and management of assigned program and personnel, providing leadership regarding curriculum and instruction. The supervisor assures quality programming for students through collaboration with families, local school districts, and community agencies.

The ideal candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience in Special Education. A master’s degree in Education and an active PA Supervisory Certificate (or higher) are required. Preschool Early Intervention experience preferred.

Special Education Leadership Opportunities: Preschool Early Education Supervisors
Open positions:
• Supervisor of Speech-Language Services – lead and support SLPs
• Supervisor of Early Intervention Programs – oversee classroom and itinerant services for children ages 3–5
We’re looking for experienced Special Education leaders with a PA Supervisor of Special Education or Principal certification and at least 5 years of experience.
In both roles, you’ll supervise staff, coordinate programs, and collaborate with families, school districts, and community partners to ensure high-quality services.

The 30th Annual Education Conference, “Celebrating 30 Years of Learning, Leading, and Growing!,” was held at Manheim Central High School. The conference began with keynote speaker, Dr. Zac Bauermaster, who engaged the audience with his presentation 'It’s All About People'.

Following the keynote, attendees could choose from 12 morning, 11 early afternoon, and 10 late afternoon sessions. Sessions addressed topics such as Unlocking Learning: The Power of BreakoutEDU in the Classroom, AI for Everyone!, Strengthening Positive Climate, Strategies from the Field of Positive Psychology, Living an Encouraged Life, Systems of Safety and Hope 2.0: The Practice of Growing Hope in Our Schools

Topics on math, literacy, supporting Neurodiverse students, inclusion, science, transition, emotional regulation, multilingual learners, behavior, school avoidance, were also offered. Participants visited the sponsor and door prize areas throughout the day.

Attendee feedback was extremely positive with the venue, topics, presenters and overall conference.
